hood venting

hey guys i was looking at my heater/AC unit in my house and like the little slot vents that it has, and thought it would be cool to somehow put them in my factor s13 hood. i know that some police cars have these types of heat vents on the hood, I couldnt find a picture but i was wondering if anyone knew what its called and if there are places that can do this to a factory hood?

Well you could always cut slits in your hood in a row like | | | | | then bend the metal |>|>|>|> kinda like louvers is what you're asking?

like the R/t vipers or whatever have em on the hoods.

i did that to my hood...but i didnt feel like hand sanding down the edges becuz they were sharp...so i trashed it (it was an extra hood and it was bent so yea....)

yeah i guess it would be like louvers the hood that hustlervibes (http://www.zilvia.net/f/member.php?u=46345), pictured is closer to what i want, just smaller vents with more of them, does anyone know of a place that does this or do you just buy them in a strip and weld them in?

I bought a uras vent for like 250 then just cut a hole in my stock hood and riveted the bitch on......looks way better than that hot rod shit.....Seriously i saw a honda civic that had that done around my place and it looks like dog turds don't do it!!!!
