So which of these 2 would be the best choice for my wifes car? She has a stock sr20det swap. She is really trying to avoid chatter so Im leaning more towards the ACT. My main concern is pedal stiffness. She is very petite and definately cant handle my RPS max clutch. How do the Exedy Stg2 and the ACT HD compare in pedal feel? Overall plans for the car will only be an s15 turbo with fmic and a rom tune. So it wont need a very heavy duty clutch.

I dropped my tranny this morning to install my exedy stage 2 four puck, i should be done tommorow, i'll let you know this weekend, i think it'll be too stiff for a female, or anyone dailying with not much patience.

i had an ACT clutch with the Heavy Duty pressure plate in my WRX and my wife was able to drive it perfectly fine. mind you she has VERY little manual driving experience.

Yea my wife mainly has trouble with the chatter of my RPS 6 puck. She stalls it pretty frequently in stop and go traffic or while reversing.

is she ever going to drag race/launch the car? because if not the ACT street/strip will be fine

I have the ACT street disc on my KA and it feels awsome.

Not much stiffer then stock and its no problem to drive.

Let my sister drive it who has never driven stick and she never killed it once.

I think it's obvious this guy has over-taken the car and plans on driving it .

Exedy stage 2, shit feels close to stock pedal stiffness.

I dd an ACT stage1 HD pressure plate and organic disc on my sr20det. pedal stiffness is probably a little more than 2 times normal pedal feel.

It will never be launched on slicks or drag radials if that is what you are asking. It will be played with aggressively on the street and the midnight drags just for fun once in a while. I am learing more towards the ACT still as it wont chatter. Just hope the pressure plate isnt to stiff for her.

I had a Exedy stage 2 on my sr20det and loved it. Pedal feel was firm without the workout. Pedal seamed to have about 20-30% stiffer feel over stock. One word of warning, this clutch chatters like crazy though. If it's a puck clutch it will had some degree of chatter no matter who makes it.

the ACT doesn't chatter at all.

Yep, the full face disc (ACT street disc or Exedy stage 1 organic) does not chatter.

6 puck (exedy stage 2) does chatter.

If she's stalling because of your clutch, she should stay away from any pucked clutch. I'd recommend RPS Sport with organic disc. Pedal feel is a little stiffer than stock and it should grab enough for a stock SR.

Its not rated high enough to handle a gt28r though. I thought of it but decided agaist the RPS sport.
