Stupid wheel discussion.

So, my friend and I are in a silly argument over convex/concave wheels. He has this wheel below:

and says this wheel is concave. As you can all see, there is a slight reverse bowl shape to it, with the spokes pointing back inward slightly. Convex right?

Here is the same wheel in a lower offset:

I say this is concave, since the spokes bend out away from the hub towards the rim, and not bend back in to the rim from the hub. Can you guys please help me settle this for good?

yea the ones on the subaru are convex (convex=ugly)

pretty much everything that has a high offset is convex and anything with a low is concave

The only thing that comes to mind when I think of a convex wheel are those ugly 15" chrome mesh hubcaps that actually stick out.

I had a better picture, but if you look close you can see the spokes at the hub stick out away further than where they meet the rim of the wheel. The spokes curve back, very slightly, but they do.
