Gruppe-S

Hey guys I thought I would share some pics of our new drift vehicles for 2008.
As many of you know Gruppe-S is now part of the Dynamic Autosports familly.
Many of you may have already learned that Peak Performance Racing has parted ways with our long time sponsor Falken Tires. Recognizing the emergence of Hankook Tires as a world renown brand in performance tires, Gruppe-S/ Peak Performance Racing has teamed up with Hankook Tires to take our Pro Drift team to a new level of competition
Knowing a good thing when we see it, we will also be retaining the services of the devilishly handsom e long time drifter and all-around great guy, Robbie Nishida (retaining is too loose of a word.. more like enslaving). This year, however, heeding Robbie's requests for "mo' powah", Gruppe-S/ Peak Performance will be building an all new turbocharged Nissan 350Z (Z33) producing somewhere in the neighborhood of 500hp. Cloaked in the traditional but charming Hankook colors, there's no way you won't see Robbie tearing up the track this 2008 season.
Make sure to stop by the pits and say hi to the team thru out the 2008 Forumula Drift Season starting April 12, 2008 in Long Beach.

Once the ball got rolling, it was hard to contain the excitement of the staff and crew. Just two days ago, the car looked like something you'd find at a S13/S14 Owners Meet at a Pick-a-Part junkyard. Today, we picked it up from the body shop and it had a fresh coat of white paint with orange accented roll cage. The guys were also hard at work putting the power plant back into the chassis, complete with all the goodies from companies such as Peak Performance (shameless plug), Injen, Apex'i, NISMO, Cosworth and of course, JE Pistons and Brian Crower. This only goes to show what great things can be accomplished when you put forth your greatest efforts (the occasional lashing and beating helps too).

Building upon our belief that we know a good thing when we see it, we've also retained the talents of the boyishly cute upcoming drifter, Joon Maeng. Joon was last seen at the D1 World Finals in 2007 drifting the back-up Peak Performance 240SX S14 to a top 8 finish. This year, Joon's Nissan 240SX S14 has been rebuilt with a new configuration and fresh SR20DET all ready to take whatever he can give.
