i'll keep it short. he won by about a car length up to about 80mph. then we got on the highway and he just kept pulling away. lol ah well. it was the 255hp one with the six speed. nice cars, i should have gotten one.

Street racing is illegal and dangerous. Keep it on the track, yo. You need to get into autocross or drag racing where it's legal.
sorry guys, just had to beat you to it.

Is your 240 not fairly stock? If so, only 1 car length seems really close for a 255 horse maxima. He should have smoked you pretty hard with a 6-speed I would think.
But all in all, good race man.
DISCLAIMER: I do not in any way endorse street racing. It is both illegal and dangerous. The only reason I said "good race" is because of magical lawn nomes making me. That is all.

(this was on a deserted road with farmland on both sides, no pedestrians or cars.)
he didn't get the greatest launch, but he still took off fairly nice. by 80 he was a car ahead (possibly a car and a half) and still pulling, i should say. but i've done a few things and barely had any gas in the tank. he really wooped me once we got the highway. it was like i wasn't trying but by then i went to the speed limit because there were cars way ahead and it was too risky. he kept going and i never saw him again. and it handled nicely too for FWD.

Nissan built quite the cars w/ the Altima and the Max. When I was stock KA I ran against a 3.5l Altima and got smoked on the highway. My God it wasn't even close....but let me see him again muhahahahaha
they're "gnomes" not "nomes".
OTOH, I caught up to and handed asses to new altimas and new maximas at Speedtrial last weekend. We were all in beginner class, and it was my first time on the track. Wooooooo.
However, to de-glorify this a little bit, they didn't seem to have any suspension mods (or nothing like mine), whereas I'm running JIC full coilovers on a stock powered (no power adders) car. Just sharing! Without my coilovers though, those guys would have just been raping left and right; the power difference is so big (and Buttonwillow is such a fast course). The only reason I passed them was because I was flagged by by one of the corner marshalls (markers? ... 'guys'?).
Same goes with a subie WRX wagon, I was on his ass in the turns, but once we hit the straight, he would just fly away from me.
Just gloating a little bit. I mean, Sharing.
