I know. They're Tenzos.

Wondering if any other company makes a wheel like this one w/ concave face. I've seen the ZR520 but i was looking for something with more spokes.
520s:
http://www.ravspeconline.com/images/wheels/5zigen/pro-520-pic2.jpg
I've looked at work, volk, AME, garson, BBS, haven't found a design like this one. looks like the one on the 2009 race m3.
http://img359.imageshack.us/img359/7817/m308alms011600bm0.jpg

offsets are crap for 17's & 18's though. 19 has better sizes.

18x8=
5x100 - 5x4.5/114.3, +25
19x8.5=
5x4.5/114.3, +17
19x10=
5x4.5/114.3, +22

tenzo is coming out with some really decent looking designs lately in my opinion.

those 19x10 +22s would look really nice on a sedan.

I'd rock some on my TL, except they're Tenzo's.

Just wouldn't fit the whole luxury sedan thing.

was looking at buying wheels recently and according to discounttire.com the tenzo DC6 in the 18x9.5 fitment is 23lbs...not bad considering the cost, sizing, and brand. Much lighter than some other name brands wheels i was looking at.

I'm not a fan of that style mesh wheel (I like old school mesh), but those are actually very nice looking wheels.

Maybe someone can convince them to make'em in 17x9 +12 for the 240 community.

Thats an attractive looking wheel! Tenzo are moving away from Replicas?

jackjack

tenzo is concentrating on wheels more than anything else. at least thats what the rep told me at sema. i actually like some of the wheels they offer.

those are sick. +25 isnt that bad its not extreme but conservitive if u wana get crazie get a 20/25mm spacer boom zero offset. look at the type 3's sick....

Yeah I have the DC-6 model, 18x8.0 and 18x9.5 they are quite light almost as light as AME's in similar sizes. Tenzo's new line of wheels are nice imo.

Ya Tenzo's may be looking nicer and they may be light. Fact is thats Thai Wheel corporation and those wheels break and break easily. I have seen a first hand example of a broken Lenso the brother line to Tenzo.

wheel looks great, its on the back page of numerous import mags. that is a wheel that would look good on a 3-series.

Construction type is still more "miss" than "hit"

I must admit. Though Tenzo-R is as knockoff, point and laugh, as it gets.
Im tempted to buy a pair of DC6 18x9.5 +15 in gold and space them a little to see how they look. I think last time I checked they cost what RPF1's cost almost though so fuck that.

The wheels can`t be that bad anymore. A big wheel manufactuerer here in Germany started to sell street-legal Lenso rims last year. That means that they meet the rigid safety criteria of the German TÜV.

I`ve never had any problems with my Lenso Passion-5's, even after 5 years on the autobahn and the Nürburgring.

reminds me, there was a thread on rx7gayclub about people jocking some rotas and a few of us where saying rota is bad, dont support the knock off companies who steal profits from original designers etc, and alot of guys where saying "they have that stamp approving them for use, they should be good" or "ive seen volks break, any wheel will break if you crash it" *their reply to the broken rota wheels pics* and people bitching how original wheels are too expensive when you can get cheaper ones like rotas.. then someone saying Rota makes OEM wheels for auto manufactures.

Fact is comparing a aftermarket wheel to a oem factory wheel which is quite often steel or much more solid aluminum is really not a fair comparison. I know what your saying though.

Though it still stands a factory wheel has to pass DOT standards. Now I am sure aftermarket do as well. Though the testing for aftermarket may not be as stringent. Plus any wheel can break that is true but some are more prone to breaking due to poor metallurgy . I have seen the quality of the Lenso metallurgy and its poor. Tenzo's are Lenso's and I would put more faith in a Rota before a Tenzo. This does not mean I would run a Rota.

You want a cheap wheel for a decent price your better of getting Attaks aka MB's. I would run these as a cheap set of track wheels.

When it comes right down to it. People can do what they want and you can use that argument that you quoted above Austin. It does not change my mind that I would never put a Tenzo on my car and I would advise people not to.

So I repeat just say no to Tenzo.

:rawk:

i think a good tasteful car build up, given if its for show, track, street, only quality parts should be used. A car slapped together with tons of cheap/imitation parts isnt too impressive. A car with not soo many parts, but of all quality brand name stuff, me likey.

Nothing is wrong with stock OEM parts, if you decide to remove your steering wheel and put a ebay piece, or remove your stock seats for some apc buckets... it just doesnt flow very well.

like my friend who removed his stock seatbelts and put some fake trd harnesses in his car with stock seats..

I know alot of us cant afford all the expensive shit..I say, instead of buying cheap shit, just wait it out buy 2nd hand parts.. You could buy a FET or Works Bell QR 2nd hand and it would last throughout years and multiple owners.... If you buy a 2nd hand ebay QR, chances are its probably already worn out etc

a set of dc-6 tenzos will run you 900, a set of RPF1's will run you 1200 just to clear that up...i think they look nice, in the instance of the type M wheel i would find it hard for a mesh wheel design like that to break when its so very supported, unless of course the material used is that crappy.

get them if you like them, you have to live with how you like them and how you feel about people commenting on them.

Speaking of Tenzo, has anyone noticed their new seat...its pretty damn HOT if you ask me, really curious to see them in person. Find them in the newest modified mag also.

Knock off wheels FTW!!

Personally, I'd rather spend a lil bit more, and get quality wheels. Learn from other people's mistake. These big manufactures put their wheels through multiple tests, because their reputation is on the line. How many knock off companies put their wheels through the same tests and Rays? Enkei? Work?

The bottom wheel is machine finished, or diamond cut, or whatever people call it.

It is a very similar copy, has the same number of spokes, the lip design is similar.
2001? or something, when Racing Hart Type C's were popular, Tenzo made an exact copy, so well, that you could use the Type C center caps.

Then all the cheap asses, went around stealing Type C center caps.

Most of these people that say non high end wheels break all the time, forget that most of the pics you see are probably after an accident. Like hitting a curb at high speed for example. I've seen plenty of broken VOLKS on drift cars. For daily driving its fine, especially if you don't want to worry about your 3000 dollar rims and car getting stolen.
