alright so the ka24e has about 230000 miles on it. so the problem is that when i turn the car on let it warm up everything is fine so far i start driving the car for about 1 minute everything is fine. but lets say i slow down or come to a complete stop then put it back in gear to accelerate the motor hesitates like it wants to cut out but it doesnt. when im around 1800-2750 rpm in either first or second gear it does this when im in third it stops hesitating when im over 2500-2600 rpm and fourth and fifth gear are fine. but if i step the clutch in and bring the rpm to 3k then release the clutch and keep it above 3k everything is fine.... what can be the problem?

things ive done not so long ago.
spark plugs and wires done half year ago.
flushed injectors
cleaned MAF

motor is all stock.

I would do a THROUGH vacuum hose check. In particular I would check all the lines that control the egr. I would check that first. With a car that old there are bound to be a couple that need to be replaced.

yeah check egr is my guess off the top of my head...maybe fuel issue.... maybe alot of things lol GL

i had this exact problem i just ended up changing the motor becuase it was so hard to diagnose cuz it wasnt really consistent but anyways it ended up being i think just a bunch of little things id have to ask the guy who worked on it but check the 02 sensor the MAF all those little things and see what happens

purchase 1 can of throttle bottle cleaner
find your IACV hose (it's the one under the throttle body)
proceed to spray it the IACV while cars is on.
make you keep it connected while spraying it in there
or else it will stall

alright guys. so i just got off work car turned on idled for about 3 minutes. then it kinda choked for abit like as if it was gasping for air or fuel then it shuts off. unplugged the maf tried starting it again turned on for a bit then same thing happens. when i turn the key to on position i don't hear the fuel pump priming. but if the fuel pump were out woul;dn't it just not start at all? another thing is that for a period of time it was idling quite rough around 900-1100 rpm smell unburnt fuel. but after i unplugged the maf it idled smoother with no unburnt fuel smell, yet it dies again. imkinda stuck at work so please reply asap thanks.

^ i will give the iacv thing a try. hope all turns well time to run to crappy tire will be back so if any other ideas keep posting boys.

Having the same problems with mine trying to fix. with my old KA24DE I just bought a new MAF and it was fine altough you might have vacuum problems Is your engine check light on at all if it is 90% of the time it will be a O2 sensor. Let me know if you figure it out and I will do the same for you when I fix mine! CHEERS
