i did add an electric fan, koyo radiator and hoses turbo elbow and dss 600hp axels.
the suspension has just coilovers and thats it. the body is still the same. im not sure what front end i want to go with either the silvia or s14.
you can see where the dash had to be cut for the shorter tranns to fit.

Ah u have a different tranny too... Interesting... I am very curious to see this in action :)
This should be mega fast and scary... makes me actually want an SR potentially. I saw some 2.2 conversions making massive power on much lower boost and much lower in the powerband even while still all the way to redline.. it makes me really want it hehe. Should sound really mean too.
Sweet my S14 is getting the same stroker kit but I'll be running BC 272's and a GT30 or GT35. My motor build starts end of this month. Keep us updated.

ok i found the problem on the boost problem. my boost controllers spring was old and bad. i put a new boost controller in. i only ran a 12.6 at 114. but i was still on a open diff. so my 60 foot was not good.
but now i dont have a diff because when i changed my boost my diff couldnt take it and it broke. lol so im lookin into now a new diff and see what it will do at 20 psi.
i will have videos of the car at the track and on the street up in a few.

what elbow did you get? if its the greddy, good luck. a tip, start with the bottom two nuts first, then work your way up to the top.
also, for a LSD, i cant really say because i havent installed mine yet. but maybe you should try redline heavy duty for that LSD. should help keep it from breaking.

im selling my hks2530. i am putting a gt2876r .86 on it so that i can make more power. i have a new diff now and locks great. ill have a new dyno sheet up after i get my turbo and tune it again. should be making much better numbers. the low numbers where from the turbo being too small for the displacement.
GSXRJJordan
06-16-2008, 04:28 PM
Glad you got that too-small turbo outta there... IMO, you really should look at GT3076's - you've got the displacement to spool it around 4k, and that's a very solid powerband for a drag car. Problem is, you really should go top mount for a the t3-frame, and that adds a bitchload of cost. Hope you got a good deal on that 2876r.

06-19-2008, 05:26 PM
i just put my gt2876r on today. the compressor housing is so big that i have grind down a little part of my motor mount to fit it in there. now i need a house to fit the outlet on the compressor. it is a 2 1/2" outlet to the hot pipe. and also i need a smaller oil return fitting. the one that i have is 2" from the center of 2 bolts that go into the turbo. i need one that is 1 1/2". ill have pics up early tomarrow of this massive bottom mount set up.
Just grind the oil return tube bolt holes, it's not anywhere near 1/2". It'll bolt up with a little grinding/filing of the holes.
I've got a 0.64 a/r GT2876R, so yea, it does take a little work to fit it, but it's not bad.
For an intake, get a 45 degree 4" to 3" coupler from that Zenaracing dude on ebay. He has all sorts of silicone stuff for pretty cheap, just located in Hong Kong so it takes about 1.5-2 weeks to get stuff. He will have a 2.5" 90 deg coupler too(or reducer to whatever size your hot pipe is, mine is 2.5").
For the rest of the intake, just go 3" straight pipe to a Z32 MAF with a 3" coupler and you're good to go.
whereda40at
06-19-2008, 07:49 PM
well im using the intake that the guy who sold me the turbo came with and using my Q45 MAF. i have a friend with a dsm that is checking his oil return line and seeing if it is the size that i need. i was thinking of grinding it but was unsure if it would mess up the seal on it. what kind of power does your GT2876r .64 make??
I don't know, haven't dyno'd it. Definitely beats the crap out of my GT2560R though.... aka T28 for all the Zilvia kids.
It made enough torque over the T28 to cause my clutch to slip hard at the same 18 psi of boost. Which is kind of good... and sucks at the same time.

I have an ACT HDSS - aka ACT HD pressure plate and organic disk.
ACT quotes ~350 ft-lbs of torque at the crank, and it only slips in 4th and above, so I guess I'm right at the limit. From what I've seen Exedy stage 2 should hold it.
I think I'm just going to toss in a 6 puck sprung ACT disk in there and see what happens since I like the pressure plate effort.
As for the couplers, yea, that Zenaracing dude has free shipping on his stuff and have Best Offer active on quite a few couplers, so you can low ball the dude and shave off a few bucks on each item if you're getting a few at the same time. There's a small/stupid logo on some of them, but it's easy enough to point that down or sand it off.

I'll take some pics of my setup if you want. It's tight, but it clears the powersteering reservoir to pump line, and the high pressure PS line coming off the pump.

*UPDATE*
the car is running again and i will be getting my power fc put in, in a couple of weeks. just 2 minor problems.
1. i have a coolent leak and i think i know where it is. i just have to get my car back into my garage to look. i believe it is the fat coolent line that is behind the head right next to the coolent return line. if that is it, who has replaced that hose and how much of a bitch is it to do?? what did you have to do to replace it?
2. my battery is dead so i had to jump it with my "ULTIMATE ALTIMA" and after i let it run still hooked up to the car i took the cables off and it slowly dead. why isnt the alternater keeping it running. its a brand new ka alternater??
hear is my video of it running. its a crappy video but ill get a better on of it when i get the coolent line fixed.

sorry i have been slacking in the updating department. ill have pics up tonight of everything.
the dog box works great now thanks to g-force.
the car runs great with the power fc thanks to ma-motorsports. they kicked ass and made sure i got to run at imports vs. domestics in budds creek.
i went 12.07 at 118 mph. i had a 60' of 1.82 so i have to get a 2step so i can get out of the hole better. maybe some better tires too later next season.
it now has 347whp on ma's dyno on 17 psi.
my next moves are in this order.
1. 2 step (aux unit)
2. maybe a electic boost controler
3. build the head all the way
4. top mount turbo set up for 600+ hp
5. finished (for now)
im in the hunt to trade my bottom mount set up for someones top mount set up. if you are interested let me know. the car is running great and has no problems with the turbo at all. just want a top mount set up for more power.
