I am boosting at about 10-11 psi, or .7-.8 bar. I am guessing 14's but some say 13's. What do you guys think, my mods are in my sig, peace.

There is supposed to be a new track opening up in january on base, I hope it is true cause I wanna run my car. If the stock sr's run 14's than I should definetly be in the 13's, but If Im lucky I might get in the high 12's.

It's because of the metric sysem. Do you know what they call a quarter mile in france?
Don't they have 400m tracks in japan? If so that's only 8 ft shy of the 1320.

Yes thats right its not called a 1/4 mile track, but I have asked about drag racing and no one seems to know were a track is. All the racing is drifting over here, its like a huge trend over here. I wentto the track once to watch it and It was cool but I lost interest after the fith or sixth car. I am much more intrested in going fast in a straight line w/ out loosing traction. Oh and I am at yokota air base in fussa, just outside of tokyo.

Have you tried it yet? I can't imagine ever getting bored of watching cars sliding around at the edge of control on a track!
OTOH, drag does absolutely nothing for me. I have no traction anywhere in 1st gear at WOT on my GTi, but holding traction isn't exactly hard...
I was at the track (real track-- i.e. not a straight line, and not an oval) this weekend, and man, hot lapping is both so much fun and so much harder than trying to go in a straight line and not miss shifts!
In good internet practice though, "to each his own!" I just find it hard to understand what everyone sees in drag racing.

actually sr20 powered 240's in stock form run high 14's-low 15's depending on driver.
I think with the mods you listed you probably have around 200-210whp.. probably gonna run mid-low 14's.
(amazing how threads just wander off topic..lol)

Well I love all forms of motorsports, but my true love is drag racing. I grew up around it, and I am very good at it, so I have more fun doing it. The drifting looks fun, but I just dont enjoy watching it for long periods of time, now If I were to actually do it than I am guessing I wouldnt get bored with it. The problem w/ that is that I am married and my wife will only let me drag race(dont ask why cause I dont know). Im guessing she is just worried about me wrecking the car, which could happen either way.

are they really that slow?? i run low 15s with maybe 160 hp

well.. 195crank hp isn't a lot. that equalls about 160-170whp. An RSX has about 165whp, and they get low 15's all day. 15-15.6 depending on driver.. I would expecta turbo motor with more torque, LSD, and RWD, to be able to pull a little better.. so depending on driver, I would guess 14.6-15.2.
when I say stock, I mean s13 180sx/silvia off the showroomfloor stock.

Weird, I swear I read somewhere on Unstable's site, or maybe HeavyThrottle once that the 180sx/S13 Silvia ran like 14.3 completely stock... It may have been a little bit higher, but It wasnt high 14's and it sure as hell wasnt 15's...
maybe Im drunk on burger king though

Well I have had a 15 sec car and a 13 sec car, and the silvia feels faster than my 13 sec car. So I am pretty sure I am not going to be in the 15's.

A 165 hp 240 runs in the high 15's so why wouldn't a 210 hp car run in the mid 14's with ease? It's not like it lacks torque. I've ridden in near stock SR20det's in a 240 that were much faster than my mild modded KA.

I base my numbers off of observations, as well as logic.. I have heard of more than one SR being put in an s13, and them running very low 15's and high 14's.
the thing about a turbo motor like the SR is they respond to bolt-ons VERY WELL. add an exhaust, add 15whp.. maybe more.. add intake, another 10.. your imediatly up to around 185-190whp.. this easily will pull low 14's..
understand? I'm not saying your car won't run 13's, I'm just saying what it may run with mild bolt-ons.. If you are a badass driver, anything is possible..
but I digress, Go drive your car.. test it, and tell us what you run. then we will know. problem is very few people make it to the track in stock trim, with stock shitty tires, and stock restrictive exhaust, etc...

I really dont get what the appeal is with drag racing. Its pretty boring imo. Motorsports like circuit racing and drifting are very interesting though. Rally racing is great too.
