Pignose bumper question. Different designs?

Hey guys,

I am planning to buy a replacement bumper and I was wondering if there is one designed for the optional front lip and one that isn't.

I have a pignose already and it came with the optional OEM lip. I want to make sure I buy the right one when I buy.

no difference at all. only one type of bumper cover, and only one style option lip for 89-90.

It really doesn't matter if it's E or DE. The bumper will bolt up the same, although keep in mind that the DE bumpers will be slightly wider and won't sit flushed with E fenders. You'll need fender extensions if you want to be flushed.

Otherwise, they will fit.

The lip you can install it with a few drills and bolts/washers.

The 89-90 bumpers are all identical, but the SE models equipped with the lower lip will have additional holes to secure it. You can drill these and use the OE brackets or leave them and use zipties at other places.

I believe the oem one w/lip has a lot of predrilled holes for the lip.

as shown on this forum the pignose lip can actually b used on a few other cars :-D anybody got an extra? lol

Thanks for the help, all! I got a little worried when I kept reading, "bumper w/o lip spoiler". I thought maybe there were different designs.

I still count my blessings for getting the lip with my car. Seems like a VERY sought after option.
