I just picked up some of the 05 250z 5 spoke wheels and was wondering if i would need any spacers for clearance or what size tire i would be able to get away with.. i bought them with 2 235/40-18's on front, nothing on back... was looking around and seen some use 225 all around with a taller tire in the back... i was thinking of using the 235 on rear and 225 up front.

let me know what would work out for me, and if you have done this, post pics.. thanks guys

before you ask questions about that car you must give a moment of silence........................................... .................................................. .................................

You may proceed.

Nice car. Did you use wheels spacers to get that flush look; if so what size spacers did you use? Since they're 18X8 front and 18X8.5 in the rear, I didn't know what they would look like with no spacers. I have the same wheels and will be putting them on my S14 very soon.

You're right, those wheels are +30. But, what size spacers are needed is the question?

yes, +30 and +33... and how big of spacer?

well what size are the wheels are they 8J or 9J? honestly if they are a 9J (I'm almost positive they are) I would run a 235/40R18 (F) and a 265/35R18 (R). I'm assuming that you're going to do a little fender rolling to fit the wheels and this would give a crazy aggressive setup.

I'd like to have the flush look like "burgy240's" car so I don't have to role the fenders. I was going to use 225/40/18 (F) and 245/40/18 (R)

I've been doing similar research but with the 350z 7 spoke rims. 8jj rear, +30, 7.5 +33. i'm pretty sure those rims and the 7 spokes are the same shite. prob a 5MM spacer up front to clear coils, and a 20MM spacer in the rear for super flush.

they are 8 and 8.5, i figure i got 235's on front right now.. and they look fine i could do a 245 on rear or take the 235's put on back and 225's up front... and yes, fenders are rolled

a trick i've used in the past is to go to a hardware store and buy washers to fit around your wheel studs. while you're there, get a vernier caliper.

use the washers to determine the exact size spacer you need.

stack the washers until your desired space is met. then temporarily bolt on the wheel with two or three lugs, not too tight. then lower the car.

once desired fitment is found, get yourself a vernier caliper. this tool can accurately measure inner and outer diameter of anything, effing best tool ever. once you figure out the amount, just purchase the appropriate spacers, and extended lug studs if needed.

damn those wheels look good on s14's. My buddy in the AF has an 04 and wants some new wheels. Maybe I should go ahead and buy his stockers.

oh and dont forget. when you use spacers, you might want to consider longer wheel studs. Trust me. I work at firestone and all the time people come in with spacers on "dey 2 grand chrome ass blingin 20's" and lugnuts held on by 3 threads. Especially +20mm spacers. Your gonna really want some long ass wheels studs there.

not saying you werent gonna do that, but there are some stupid people in this world. You can never be sure.

and extended lug studs if needed. clark beat me to the punch.

Nice look what size front and rear tires did you use on your?

I have NO spacers on mine. I do have conversion fenders up front that I didn't want to destroy, so they weren't as aggressive as could be. In back, they are completely bolt on and ride for me as well. With my big side skirts, most wheels look more sunk than they should and the Z wheels still fit good enough. As stated, a 5mm Spacer would be really nice however.....

And apparently someone knows the story of my car.....It is merely a shell now as it was stolen and stripped, but I did catch the little bastard and I got most of my parts back and he owes me 5K through the courts. She was my baby for 7 Years like that, but now I'm building a Y33.

i had my hands on those, but they slipped away... then the 350z wheels came along... oh well.. car looks good.. and once again, thanks for all the help guys.. even though i somehow recieved neg rep for this post???

you received neg rep because wheel sizing information for stock wheels is available through a website called google and fitment information for the s-chassis is available on the billions of threads discussing the topic on zilvia

also because most 350z wheels are ugly and you're better of sticking with your stockers until you can afford something with better fitment

for the record, i didn't bother neg repping you, but i can say with confidence those are the reasons why

Yeah, the 25 "350Z" references to the one typo in this thread really had me guessing what wheels he was talking about. /sarcasm

Don't they rub with the 19" on there? I thought 18" were the biggest wheels that can comfortably go on the S14s
