if they say it better than tein flex, perhaps they are the marketeers that sell bc racing.

bc sounds like bo chen. which makes apex and megan.

o, ok sweet, any word on if they are a bit cheaper than the megan or apex? being that BC makes them for the other companies, it SEEMS like they would be cheaper, but being that it is a performance part, I highly doubt there would be a price difference, but it's worth looking into.

My friend Chelsea, i don't know maybe you might of seen him in action...he is a part of Aero-K...drives for Drift Brigade, well actually use to, he has a redish with flake miata roadster. He rocks BC coilovers if you want info, i can give you his digits...he is also a distributor for them.

Find info and speak directly to someone who helped BC R&D them here : http://www.importfanatix.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=4455

The 30 way adjustability on those is kind of junk. I wish they would reduce it to 16 or even 8 as you can tell no difference between 0 (soft) and say (5) less soft...
just my experiance with there inverted damper though on an STI
Stil not bad however and i would purchase again for the s13

I have them on my S13. They are good coilovers and pretty much the same as megan coilovers. Although, I do have an older model. The newer models are supposed to be a little better. I love mine though and would buy them again. Ravspec gave me a really good deal on them.
I think I like them better than my stance coilovers. Atleast for the street. This is only an opinion and everybody likes something different, so...

BC Racing coilovers are awesome units. I am a driver of Drift Brigade, and I helped with the FC unit R&D and I'm currently working with them to build an external reservoir unit for the S13.
Chelsea has been rocking them for over a year on his Miata with no problems. Even after hitting the wall in Miami and cracking the rim into 3 pieces the units were perfectly fine.
If you have any questions about them, you can hit me up here or via AIM at driftbrigadenj.

Since you seem to be VERY close to the actual source and would have a FOR SURE answer...
What is the difference between these and the megans or apexi's?
thanks!

OK, I just got off of the phone with Pete from BC. He basically told me to post up a couple of facts about the differences between the two.
1. Megan's lower locking mechanism comes loose, whereas the BC's have a tapered cup-shape locking mechanism.
2. There is a noticeable size difference between the two companies.
- Pistons: 46mm (BC) vs 44mm (Megan)
- Cartridges: 53mm (BC) vs 50mm (Megan).
3. Shock dynos show quite a larger range in adjustment on the BC's. (He's going to try to send me the ones for the BC's.)
4. All of the BC's come with front and rear pillowball mounts, whereas the Megan's come pillowball in the front and rubber in the rear.
5. Some of the BC's can be had in inverted series, whereas the Megan's cannot.
6. The threads are different on the shock bodies. It take 3 times the amount of turns on a Megan unit to get to the same height as a BC unit.
7. Internals make a big difference. The larger diameter piston on the BC's helps with cooling.
"2 completely separate companies. No matter who BC manufactures for, they will never be the same. Just because Ford makes both the Festiva and the Mustang, they are both not the same vehicle."
He also told me to add that if you are still skeptical or had any other questions, that you could contact him directly. His number is (321) 206-6381.
