well I got a set of headers for cheap, same ones as a friend of mines.  But the EGR tube is welded shut.  Do I need this or not.  I'm not sure because I remember Fatman-Racing used to sell an EGR block off kit.  I just want to know if it will hurt performance or cause a code to come up.  I have a '95 s14 w/ a KA in it.  Oh, I know the headers will cause a cause a code for the primary cat failur, but can i avoid this if i move the second o2 sensor past the second cat. thanksfor anyone who posts.

if the header replaces the cat, then yes the light will come on.  Also if the EGR is not functioning you may fail emissions as well.

Shouldn't hurt the engine at all, I have run like this all season, although not a street car.

thanks man, but I should be pretty good as all I need for emissions is a cat visual inspection.  I live in NC and have a "friend."  But even then my county doesn't have a pipe sniffer type deal.  My yearly inspection just requires that my lights works, tires aren't worn to the limit and my cat is in place.  But I wanted to know if the car will throw a code if I move the second O2 sensor past the second cat so it's catching "after the cat" exhaust.  Thanks again.
