pull off the plastic shit around ur steering column. and go to town. if the keys turned, the pin might be jammed or something. never heard of a situation like this, but get creative.

Are you asking how to defeat a steering lock or how to put a new one in?
The steering lock is there to prevent hotwiring theft. Even if the engine runs the column is still locked.

How the hell did you turn it on with the steering wheel lock on? You usually can't turn the key with it being locked.

Buy a 510... We're lucky enough to have column locks that are easilly removable! Remove plastic shroud, unscrew ignition switch, remove column lock, and hotwire while the ignition switch is off.
1970's theft protection for ya!

well dude the lock is mechanical and if its not unlocking, you may have to actually get the existing lock off and install a new one. that can be a pain in the ass considering the two bolts holding it on are tamper proof. it can be done though! good luck with that man... and hey, just give wd-40 a shot. sometimes it does help with stupid little things that dont wanna work lol

ya easy-out kits get them rather easy.. or you could drill them.
they arent that tight, i think those snap off heads break at less than 50ft-lbs. On the lock issue.. i dont know just throwin ^ out there.

Try some of this.
Squirt it in the lock.
Then repeatedly work your key in and out to spread it all through the locking mechanism.
It worked on another car of mine.
