If I had the disposable income and a huge playground (desert ideally)...then i would get it.
But for now...I rather get a Z06, GTR or some other vehicle that is semi-practical.

That would be nice, but with machine guns and a few rocket launchers attached to it, to handle traffic in LA.
That would be very nice...

sand cars are boring and for people who live a rich yet boring life. If you want to bring excitement jump into this 650 hp LS1 truck

went out with a friend that had pretty much that same thing. probably the most fun ive had in a motor vehicle excluding aerobatic planes. It can jump about 10-15' in the air and for 100'+. His accelerated like a rocket and was just a blast to drive. I dont think i would buy one because i dont have any of the supporting stuff (truck, tailor, cabin near a dune, etc) but its still fun.
I think that is a waste!! Too much money!! Sure your powered by a turbo'd v12. But do you really need that?
I am building one of these. I have the tubular body about finished, seats, fuel cell, floorboards, Tires/wheels etc.. Just have to put the engine/trans in. and set up the steering. Grand total so far, I have spent $3500.
But i am using the engine/trans out of my s14.
(i will show the build when its done.)

interesting choice using a ford body with chevy v8 as motivation i would have used a silverado as a base... i got my dad hooked on the idea of turning his '00 1500 silverado into a baja pre-runner when he buys a new truck in 2010

looks like you played with way to many radio controlled sand buggies as a kid. LOL . Ya you'd take that over a GTR? Ok have fun going to Pismo and only a couple of other places, while I drive my GTR all over the damn country seeing shit at high speed. :D

some of these 600 + hp trophy trucks are street legal = ). Infact, I think a lot of them that do baja 1000 have to be since they drive on the streets for a while. alot like rally cars. Its so simple for a truck. Buy cab, buy 1970 frame, build tube frame chassis using some of the frame, put big engine, strap for 30" of travel register as 1970 vehicle. Thus who ever travels in one will get to see all the cool places even the ones that are not on a road. =)
