**** Do not read this because the problem has been solved!!! Spend your energy on a new post ******

I was parking my car in my driveway and after stoping I took the key out and then when I got out I noticed that my wheels were not straight so I got back in and decided that it wasn't too hard to turn the wheels with the engine off so I did. about 60% of the way to straight my wheel locked and now my key will not turn in the ignition. I have spent the last 20 minutes searching here, 240sxfourms.com, and google and have found nothing.

Is there a way to disable the steering lock?
Will I have to call a lock smith?
Will I have to have the cylinder replaced?

EDIT: Problem has been fixed. Thanks for the help.

Keep wiggling your steering wheel untill you can release the key.

or untill you can turn the key.

All I can say is to put the key in the ignition, wiggle the steering while trying to turn the key. Thats it. Get back at us.

well shit.

I swear to god I tried that like 4 times but then when you said it I decided to give it another shot and it worked first try.

Thanks for the help guys I'm going to spend the rest of the day sitting perfectly still so I don't mess anything else up.

edit: rep to both of you.

this happens alot on a pos s14steering lock. it takes 2 people to undo it. one to pull the wheel and the other to jiggle the key.

try taking off the steering cover and there will be a little bar rod thing i guess you can call it pull on that and hold it and it should release the key.

:bash: Nothing's broken, it's very common on lots of cars. This isn't the first thread I've seen asking about this.
