Nissan bolts the master on from the engine side. Download an FSM for best pix.

There are no bolts. The clutch pedal is fitted with studs that go through the firewall, the master cylinder in then secured with nuts, M8x1.25 pitch.

This is correct, but what would you substitute the verb "bolt" with, "nut"?
Nissan "nuts" the master cylinder to the firewall on the engine side?
Is a stud considered to be a bolt?

Bolts usually have some kind of head (hexagonal, etc)on them.
Studs are just threaded shafts without any head on them OR they are fastened down and a nut would be used on them.
What is a stud?
think wheel studs.

You would use the phrase, "the Clutch MC is fastened to the car by guiding it on the clutch pedal studs on the engine side, then secure it with 2 correct size nuts."
Basically what Russ said.

Get a wilwood master cyl! $50, will need to re-drill the firewall (is it even drilled at all on an auto?) and the hydraulic fitting is different but those are easy obstacles to overcome. cheaper than a new oem nissan piece, and works properly unlike a rebuilt core autozone brand.

This statement is all kinds of fucked up.
Where did he even say he needed a new MC? Since when was a Nissan MC expensive? And you DO know that there's like 500 aftermarket suppliers out there that make this SIMPLE car part for less than 40 bucks. And they work just fine. Shit I got mine from eBay for $25, shifts fine everytime and no leaks, AND I didn't have to mess with the fittings or re-drill anything.
Re-drill the firewall? What? If he's doing a 5-speed swap there's NO holes. So he would be drilling for the first time, not RE-DRILLING.
And while I have just as much bias against autozone and their services as the next guy, they are just a retailer, the only sell the parts, not make them. The same quality you get from them you get from Pep Boys, Kragen, Napa, etc.
sheesh.
