Got the OEM alloys and snows back on, but this year the car is lowered. Oh, and I put my Blitz BOV in and took a shot of the interior (nothing special really). Just wanted to share:

Yo nice car man! I just picked up a 91 just like that on monday. Do you have anymore pics of it? Did you install the motor yourself? If you have anymore pics of it you can email them to me at [email protected] Im just trying to get some ideas of what i want to do with mine. How do you like the sound of that exhaust? Thanx man. What pictures do you really want? I have quite a few, but I don't want to send EVERYTHING. Tell me what you'd like to see more specifically and I'll send that.

As for the exhaust, it's the best sound on a 4 cylinder I've ever heard...but before the SR it was a bit loud. But it never gets raspy and it's got a NICE rumble in the low revs. Sweetness.

Thanks, man. Yeah, I have the #210 dual 12" fans...they fit the Koyo like they were made to go together. I love that. Don't you?

Here's a side shot. I didn't include it before because it came out a bit shaky. Keep in mind that these tires are pretty tiny (185/65-15 Blizzaks)

In that picture i see you have some rather large rubber hosing, between the blowoff valve and the charged air pipping. Would you mind telling me how much you got that for? I need to fix some cracks in my intake pipping, and that would be a great fix! Thanks,

DbD

Uhhh, well, that's all just part of the stock SMIC piping. I would imagine you could just find the part number and order it from a Nissan dealer. Sorry, but that's all I've got for ya.

where and how much did you get those blizzaks for. And how are they in chicago snow, or is this the first winter your using them in.

It was snowing down there right? (Assuming your in champaign (sp?) right now)

They were like $60 each from Tire Rack, and I've had them for two winters already. They kick ass. Nothing special in the dry, of course, but great on the snow and ice. Especially on the ice...it's like I have little razor blades cutting in and moving me forward. Sweet.

It barely snowed at all today...just a skiff in the morning. Now it's just drizzling...did you watch the game or something?

Thanks for all the kind words, people. By the way, the car has been a long work in progress. I've had it for 3 years now, and I'm just slowly getting things done. Last year was the big transformation. I finally had the money for the motor and suspension. That gave the beast a whole new personality...and I love it.

You'll all get there in time. Not to worry. Just keep saving your pennies and planning your attack. Make a budget and a timeline and start on it!

I can tell you first hand this has been a long transformation that has really taken off in the last year. As much as I love my clean hatchback, everytime I see his coupe I want one (and I think he wants my clean h/b).

It looks nice in the pictures and hopefully I might get to drive it this weekend

edit:: I didn't notice before, but the side pic makes your tint look like that ghetto silver color aluminized tint (don't worry, it's nice in person, still need to do mine).

While we're on the subject of the coming winter, this will be my first snow season with my coils... anyone know how to setup for snow suspension wise? I'm currently going under the assumption that I should be at the softest settings all around so as not to unintentionally start drifting around :/

suggestions?

adey

I would have to say softest setting all 'round, and max ride height! Don't preload your springs if possible... or better yet, swap out the springs for softer ones!
Perhaps set the fronts to slightly stiffer (1-2 clicks) than the rear (0clicks) to try and negate oversteer inherent in rwd cars in the snow?

That brings a two tears to my eyes.
1 of hapiness b/c it's sooo nice
and
1 of sorrow and aginy. b/c it looks exactly like my baby did b4 the wreck minus the sr and other goodies.
