So here is the story
sr overheated, blew motor, rebuilt motor from ground up.
head decked
block decked
oem hg
all internalls
It overheats
I have amazing oil pressure
I put in a nismo thermo
alum rad
distilled water, water wetter
I figured maybe the cts was causing it to run rich, replaced, no avail.
new 16psi cap
no leaks
has new water pump of course.
the temp just goes up and stalls at 180 for a while, then goes up and up and up.
I cut it at 220 at the latest when it does this.
I have altima fans, And I know sometimes they cause overheating on the highway (I live in bfe, all there is is highway for miles)
but when I stop to Idle, the temp will keep rising.
What am I missing here guys?

Did you bleed the air out?
Compression, leak down?

bled
car on to 180
of, unscrew bleeder
re screw
fill
repeat till no more air
compression tester is actually not wanting to come out of the cylinder right now...., But I know that its not a blown hg, no smoke, no loss of water, no compression going into water lines, no milky oil, no oozy water. Trust me Ive blown a hg, this isnt it. This seems to be the initial prob as to why I messed my motor up in the first place.

Does it come with its own sensor or tap off the OEM one?
Edit: Saw the site so yeah
pop back in an OEM thermo and see what happens
I know its a Nismo but that doesnt mean it can t be bad

Ahhh.. lol where is the aftermarket gauge located? Upper hose?
Nissan didn't put their temp sensor in the upper hose, they put it between the block and head to read the "median" temperature.
You are just reading the hot water being taken away from the head.

yea I am, But the overflow tank will be boiling, which I know Is never good. I like to know the hottest point on my motor. Im going to try bleeding it for the fifth time. My hoses are hooked up to the heater core, but my climate control is broke, so maybe theres a bubble (hopefully).
If not I just have one of those jdm tyte Hott sr's

Im using Defi's for My mine, I have my sensor in the Upper hose and on a normal day it will read about 84*C
Im running Stock SR Thermo and Radiator in mine.
(waiting till the weekend to drop in my Alumin. Koyo)

i've always filled my radiator while the car is running, thermo opens dump more coolant in keep doing this till no more coolant goes into the radiator and close her up. usually this eliminates air in the system and you dont even need to bleed it, but i do so for good measure. Try bypassing your heater core if your climate control doesnt work anyhow, just so you eliminate any possible problems there.

I just pulled my guages out to manually open the heater core, So its bleeding now. Lets hope this fixes it : )
