Just like it says, I'm having a problem lining up my motor mounts. I had the same problem with the motor going in, and managed to muscle it onto the mounts. I had to change the pan gasket and voila, same problem. Another way easier? Help, please?

I had a hell of a time getting my SR motor dropped in. It would be about 1/4" of an inch from dropping right in and it just didn't want to go. Just wiggle shake, move, and it will drop right in.

loosen the bolts to give you more play to align it up

The crossmember bolts? Or the mounts? I can't really get to the bottom mount bolts easily.

Its a pain in the ass. The mounts are the same, you just need to get stuff loose and wiggle and slowly set it in. I have found it easier to install the motor with the motor mounts attached to the motor. But, I have had aftermarket motor mounts in all my cars.......

The bolts going into the crossmember aren't very friendly when all is in the motor though. I've got nothing that fits in that niche that I can get enough torque on to turn them.
It's pissing me off. I got the damn motor in there last year, and now I can't get it to drop again. Oh well. I have to get to work tomorrow, so back to the garage I go...

Ratchet Extensions and 14mm deep socket.
Loosen it, and mount the engine in.

I got it done. Just about 15 minutes ago, though.
Removed the 4 bolts that secure the bracket to the engine block on one side, after getting the other side on it's mount. Sat the bracket I removed on the mount, and then used a jack to line up the bracket (roughly). Used bolt torque to pull it all together.
Not the prettiest or easiest thing I've ever done, but everything took torque to spec, so I'm happy. Thanks for the suggestions all, every bit helps. +rep all around, eh?
