I just finished making brackets to secure my Z32 2+2 cables to the floorboard. I pulled up on the E-Brake and it felt like it worked perfectly but when I put it back down, the drivers side E-Brake stayed locked up. The cable seems to have pulled out and stayed there. Is there anything other than a bad cable that could have caused this? Maybe some sort of adjustment on the E-Brake itself?

there should be a bolt by the ebrake handle to adjust the cable.

one time my car was running so rich that when I left it Idling, //it burned through the cat and welded my ebrake cable to the frame. doesnt sound like your prob though. check where the line goes into the sleeve.

dont tighten it too much, that cable will break easily, then your really screwed

I think the problem is actually in the E-Brake itself and not the cable. When I pull from the E-Brake side of the cable by wedging a screwdriver in there the cable goes back and releases the E brake but when I pull up on the handle again, it gets stuck in the other direction.

Maybe the caliper seized. Check it.
