My fans do not have any brackets on the top or bottom so i can bolt it to the radiator, only on the sides..

I'm thinking about making a few litle brackets to go from the radiator to the fan, and bolt them both together and call it done, but i want to know if anyone has done anything different...

How are your taurus fans mounted ??

well son of a bitch, i guess i dont have a taurus fan..

the fan i have has dual fans, a 12'' and a 10'' together.. whatever, they work and fit on my radiator nicely, im gonna rock them..

i guess ill see how some radiator zip ties work for now..

I don't have bottom brackets either. Shit's ghetto it makes a weird triangle shape when the fan shifts around... I should fix mine...

IF you ever make brackets, post pics!

yea man i will !

i think im just gonna use a few of the radiator zip ties for now and see if it holds.. my fan setup is kinda heavy.. its heavier than my mishimoto radiator..

i used zipties in the same fashion as those radiator zipties.. drill holes in the shrowed at each corner.. pop a good quality ziptie through it, and also through the cooling fins of the radiator.. then on the other side, run the ziptie through a plastic washer of faily decent size so it wont go through the cooling fins. then cut the end of a ziptie lock and secure it.

Mine is bolted up to the radiator. I posted in the previous thread (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=173441), but didn't go into too much detail.

On top, I used some aluminum angle from Home Depot. Chopped it off to ~1.5" in length and drilled two holes in it. The radiator already has threaded bolt holes so I found some bolts that threaded in. For mounting to the shroud, I held the fan up to the radiator w/ the brackets in place and marked where I wanted the shroud to mount on the radiator, then drilled two holes in the shroud. The bracket was attached with a bolt and a nut to the shroud, then bolted to the radiator via the threaded holes.

On bottom, I found some long bolts and some metal spacers at Home Depot. There's a gap at the bottom of the radiator between the shroud and mounting tab. I cut the spacer to be the length of the gap, from the metal tabs at the bottom of the radiator (the two perpendicular to the surface of the core) to the bottom of the shroud. Marked out where the holes in the shroud would be, then drilled them. So, the head of the bolt is on the inside of the shroud, then the spacer slips in between the shroud and mounting tab that is affixed to the radiator. Simply tighten a nut on the end of the bolt and it's attached securely, top and bottom, without through-core zipties.

Before attaching the fan, I also lined the edges of the shroud with adhesive-backed foam from Home Depot, to seal up some of the gaps. Some trimming of the shroud is required to clear the upper radiator hose, but that's no biggie.

Four radiator zipties hold my taurus fan snuggly. It works.
