alright so when i go to try and start the car it just makes a loud click, the previous owner says he threw a rod, but im starting to have my doubts... there is a bit of oil leakage at the bottom of the engine, is there a possibility he blew the head gasket?i'll have a video up in a minute
its a sohc by the way

start by jacking up the car too see where there oil is leaking from. could be the head, or could be the rear main seal or the front one. if its leaking towards ur clutch its the rear main seal , if from the front, then its the front main seal. but good start off to check for that first.

Doesn't sound too healthy lol. Make sure your starter isn't fucked up. Take it off, hook it up and make sure its actually spinning. Then turn the motor by hand using a ratchet or breaker bar and a 27mm socket, to make sure that the motor isn't seized up.
