Alright i just installed and tightened the 20mm spacers i bought from max and i came to a problem. the original studs are touching/hitting the rim. Yes i've searched. What should i do? Should i shave some metal off? any alternatives? am i doing something wrong? thanks you guys.

some people use hardened hex nuts from your local hardware store.

edit: nvm, i misread and thought you meant ur original lug nuts were hitting. that's what happened to me. but yeh, just shave em

It happened to me, and I just took a file to the small bit that hit the rim.

tread a bolt on so when you take the top of the stud off you can recut the threads with said bolt on the way off

i had this problem in the rear, as the rear studs on s13s are actually slightly longer than 25mm so i ran 25mm spacers and mates told me my rims were wobbling :P they didnt loosen but yeh they were contacting the rounded ends of the studs. filed them flat with some time and patience and i was away. make sure you keep a wheel not on them so you can screw it back off once done to 'clean' the thread.

I used a grinder, it scratched the spacer but it worked.

Dremel metal cutting wheel works pretty good.
