new sr20det redtop wont crank!?!?

i just swaped a new sr20det redtop into my s13 after blowing my blacktop. i thought i was all done then i tried starting it and there was no crank!? the starter works and i have both fuel and spark but the engine wont start could my timeing have anything to do with it since i put in a new distributor? if so then what is the timeing for the redtop sr? im really stumped any help would be greatly appreciated!

exactly what i was going to say a distributor in an sr could very well be your problem..all jokes aside does the crank turn at all and just wont fire up.or do you turn the key and nothing happens?if its turning and not firing id say timing is most likely way off.

well the distributor is good and it cranks only when i do it manually touching the starter with a screw driver or giving it direct power. does anyone know wat the timeing is suppost to be set at?

15 degrees before top dead center. 15 degrees is two marks from the the right on the crank pulley.... Does the damn thing even make sound? No won't be your timing... Did you try fault codes on the ecu? Did you change ecu's, because the redtop ecu and blacktop ecu's are different. I believe the sub harness is a little different as well...

Its not a damn distributor, its a Cam Angle Sensor!!!

:-/ lol my bad bout the whole distributor thing im a bit of a newb but i found the problem one of the wires on the harness was accidentaly cut. oh but thanks alot for the timeing info!
