OBD1 KA24DE

Alright, this problem has stumped me for some time, and I'm hoping someone can help me. I have no spark at the plugs. from there, i checked for spark after the coil, (the wire going to the distributor). No spark there, either. I then tested to see if i was getting power to the coil. Everything checked out. I then tested the coil according to factory service manual specs, and it was fine. So was the Ignition module. I also checked the grounds with a multimeter, and everything is grounded properly. Still the problem remained. So i purchased a known working ignition coil and module, and it didn't fix the problem. My ECU is throwing "No Ignition Response" code, but i'm unsure on how to test problems, because the first step in the FSM is to have the engine running. The only thing i can think of as of right now are the computer itself is damaged, or the Ignition condenser/resistor is damaged. But the resistor measured the correct resistance. Basically, I am looking for ideas on what to do next...

just stupid thinking here, could it be the ecu not being plugged in all the way? cause i've heard of this causing problems...
