626Drift Comps not enough excitment for ya?
Trying something new for April.
We are going to let all the intermediate and advance drivers have their "private sessions"

Each group will consist of 3-4 drivers.
Basically you keep running the course for periods of 15 minutes non stop.

I think everyone will have more fun this way, and get better a lot faster.
Bring a friend or 2, make the experience even better!
Ran tandem, ran by yourself, run NON STOP.

Only $80 per driver per car, and $150 if you arent signed up already.
We arent taking too many people. So sign up RIGHT NOW!

And of course....we will have our competition at the end of the day.

But considering that every group will get 15 minutes, how many times do you estimate each group will drive? What will the down time be?

if you do the numbers, down time shouldnt be any more than it usually is to run two groups.

It will help you get better faster since you dont have to wait 12-16 minutes between runs. the less spin outs your group has, the more you can run!!

I bet the advanced guys will run tandem/semi tandem, which means about 12 plus runs in 15 minutes. maybe more!!

So if I understand this correctly, here is how track time works. There are 6 groups theoretically. Every group gets 15 minutes. So that means that there are 5 groups other than yours. 5 X 15 = 75 minutes. So every hour and 15 minutes, you get 15 minutes.

If youve never gone buck wild on a drift course with a couple buddies, then you have no idea. You are thinking way too hard.

Just show up. Dont spin out. and bring more tires than usual :)

Time to invest into electric fans, oil coolers and reservoirs that have no cracks... dont forget regular maintenance/tune-ups

btw: if anyone is typically running a little hot (since the hotter part of the year is almost here), try a product called WaterWetter (http://www.redlineoil.com/products_coolant.asp) by Red Line Oil. This stuff cools as much as 30 deg. by adding better heat transfer properties/chemicals to the existing or new coolant system. WaterWetter is also compatible with almost every application from different antifreezes to brass, aluminum and copper radiators.

Best of all, its only 10 bucks! try it...

yea, i have a whole bottle of that shit in my koyo right now (altho it said to only use like i think half or 3/4 of it) and since then i've never had cooling problems at the track, even during full blown staff time!

good hoses and water pump
no thermostat
no heater core (motor part is looped)
clutch fan
part shop max oil cooler
earls -10 lines and random ebay adapter for oil... no thermostat.
also my fmic is small and where the ac thing goes right in front of the radiator
back of my hood is vented.
also i havent had a front bumper in a long time but i dont think that has much of a difference

i have e fans and run water wetter too, dont have an oil cooler though. But still RBs run hot as hell

a common mistake that I see people do, is run without fan shrouds.

last event my car peaked at ~78 deg C when it was after a run and turbo timing. On the tack it was about ~75 deg C.
