Not quite sure how to search for it, but what I'm wondering is do most FMICs require you to loose/chop your front bumper support?

And also, are there any specific dimensions/brands that don't require much moddification to the front bumper/support?

For an s13...

I'd say look up johnny race car? I think that's it, smaller units probably good up to 300whp easily

i'll post pix later, but if you do like i did and put your inter cooler where the radiator usually goes, and move the radiator back a few inches, you'll have shorter piping, and no modification to your bumper. you will hafta run either a relocated or way smaller battery tho. i put mine in the trunk. you will hafta run e-fans instead of the clutch fan too.
ps yay for my 500th post! it only took 4.5 years!

Your best bet is to remove your bumper and measure the space that allows for no modification to the bumper support and minimal cutting on the actual bumper itself.

Definitely post some pics of this setup...sounds interesting.

You're right, if I don't get any definite answers, I'll have to do this eventually. (hard to do and I work 8-5pm, get home @ 6pm, plus this cold weather with no garage)

i know this is a super long shot, iono probably not if you can get a hold of one

but you can just get a 180 front support and most fmic will fit snug

behind it

I don't know if you've seen them, but I used to have and I know a couple people with Spearco intercoolers. They make one that fits pretty good behind the bumper. there's a little cutting required but it's the bumper cover, not the bumper itself. If you haven't checked them out, maybe that would work for you?

depending on how much power your going for, if 300hp like stated above. any of the ones you just posted should do fine.

With most kits you really dont have to cut the bumper support on the S13. I mounted Greddy RSPL,VSPL, M Spec, with full bumper support for crash safety. If you notch the two vertical bars that go up to the headlights and extend the mounting holes for the bumper support you can keep all of it.
