Lets see. Just for starters

Payed over 100 bucks to get like 4 runs all day. Unorganized as fuck. One of my decent runs was said to be "the fastest run of the day in your class". (it was faster than the guy who one the first place prize and torphy) My next run felt much quicker and smoother, yet was a FULL FIVE SECONDS slower according to the 14 year olds running the time booth.

BULLSHIT.

Don't believe me? Ask steveshadows. I think he feels the same way as well

Yep, it could've been better organized and the timing system could've been better which I think was one of the reasons the times of the cars could've been inconsistent.

Other than that, dunno if they'll ever be another one- I think maybe the competition aspect of the events maybe should be done away with and instead, make it an open practice for gymkhana. More runs, less pressure.

i agree jon there should be more open practice to contain consistency.

maybe once in a few months a competition but mostly practice gymkhana sounds reasonable, i always wanted to try a gymkhana, low speed technical drifting especially with sohc power ftw

congrats jon i saw your car on readers ride on a magazine along with herb's friend s13 coupe on the front page

Thanks for the support Jon! The idea of to have mostly gymkhana practices and then a few competition events I totally agree with.

If you want to try out gymkhana, there is an SGRA Carboy event upincoming on March 22-23rd. I'm planning to sign up for it and you can find details about it on http://www.carimageland.com (http://www.carimageland.com/). I've been doing their events for a over 2 years now and I still luv it cuz of the technical driving required.

It was a complete nightmare.

I watch RSR go outside the chalk lines drifting sideways and run a slower time than my car.

then they DQ'd me for going over the chalk lines...

ok...

same class, cars ran back to back.

there are like 20 other examples of shit that pissed me off too.

Sorry to hear about this events disorganization. Aerodynes gymkhana's are always fun and low key. You can't beat the price 70-80 bucks. Checkout www.carimageland.com There is an event in late March at Willow Balcony.

i think aerodyne gymkhana is no longer there;
(probably due to very low # of participants)
