ok so i did a bunch of searching and i just have one question.

how do you go from pic one to pic two.
did he just bang the metal all the way to the fender? or did he have to add metal?

you can only heat and bang the metal so much. adding sheet metal would be the best solution if you have the resources. i just have a big ass hole in my wheel well.

I added sheet metal as well and then used some roofing compound to seal it up. Also used the foam spray on the inside of the over fender.

u can bang it up w/ heat
i cut mine about 1/2 in or so higher then he did and we hammered it up
fit fine.

im not sitting back there, so nothing has bothered me in two or three years of driving it like that. the burnt rubber smell is pretty obvious, tho.

did you have the metal welded after that?

Dousan_PG

it works great.

is it not possible to just use a roller to pull the fender all the way out to a 50mm fender? or even just pull it out of the way?

there's no point

plus the 1/4 would buckle if you tried to pull it 50mm lol

a lot of heat + a lot of fender roller = melted roller thingy

AND it takes a long ass time. i might not be the best source for doing things "right," but i'm a fan of quicker and easier. the end result is clearance. i dont care much for best of show points.

this is the biggest pull I've seen done with a fender roller. I've seen it in person... not sure if you get as much vertical clearance out of a pull as you do out of cutting the fender / overfenders.

ha that's my car

we used a sledge and vice grips and some man power

no torches here...we're no sissies.

tack welded it up...i suggest going from outsides in...if the metal splits, add more

in retrospect i wish i had cut up higher, but i haven't rubbed yet so it's no big deal i guess

Nice I saw your post on VaDriven. Nice car, I think you had it for sale at one point.

I was thinking about going overfenders on my s13 but I personally don't like the rivet look, I wanted to mold the fenders in but after researching and talking to a friend that does body work, the two different types of material would cause all the "molding" to eventually crack.

So I'm going to do a roll and hopefully slight pull to fit a decent size rim and tire underneath the s13.

for S13 there are a few options where the fender wraps all the way to the body lines, which looks 100x better

Just look around...Origin type II over fenders do it. Chargespeed do it on S14 and I'm pretty sure for S13

just DON'T buy B-magic overs...they're the worst

old pic from a few years back. 30mm over w/ wrap around thingy + 30mm(?) fender flares. wheels are 15x10JJ -35 with 215/50 tires i think.

i like the riveted look.

Dude your car is awesomely ugly :D, but know that has been discussed enough. I want to do something similar with my car. I want to do a smaller fender with a flair.

that's a pretty fitting description. one i liked also was "he did everything wrong."

some people take thier cars a little too seriously. IMO a now 19 year old car that i originally bought for 800 bucks was meant to be a beater.

That is the perfect description lol

You should paint an inmate orange stripe on each side. It would pop off the flat black something hardcore.

curious to see how wide that setup looks.
