its all about the U-Haul man, dolly worked great for DataXUnknown when towing his S13, and you can keep it over night.

u-haul is your best/easiest option. plus if its only 2 hours away, you'll only need to rent for one day so it won't cost all that much. even if its out of state, just don't tell them and it'll be cheaper.
Survey says!!!!!!!!!
U-haul
My friend and I rented a full trailor and it wasn't a bad deal. The trucks aren't bad it your local so I doubt you will break the bank.

get a ride to the city where the car is, and rent from there. so you only drive it for 2 hours

If you already have a dolly, I know home depot rents trucks too. You might need to buy a ball hitch and don't tell them you are pulling a trailer.
Last time I rented a car dolly from uhaul, I also had to rent their truck. It didn't cost but $30 for the day.

My car was about an hour and a half from my crib, I got a friend ("sleepysr" to you folks) with a truck and we rented a tow dolly from Uhaul and got it here.
I think the dolly was like 50 bucks to rent and was right around the corner from where he was living at the time.

Damn... F that.
I just checked out the uhaul site and they charge 60 cents PER MILE in addition to the 20 bucks..
Meaning, average track day for me
350 miles x 60 = 210 bucks for mileage ALONE. Not to mention price of rental AND the gas. OUCH

yea its not ideal for track days, its not bad for things like buying a car which most people only do every once in a while.

Just rent a truck or SUV , then go rent a dolly from Uhaul (they dont keep track of miles on a dolly) . Finish in a day and it willl be cheap. O It doesnt matter what truck or suv u'll get, as long as v6 and have towing capacity to tow the car u wnat. Its not your truck or suv, so you can sort of abuse it more and not worry about the strain on the tranny or chasis.

most guys can't use the dolly and must use the auto transport, (the one you pull up on,) cuz most cars are too low!

I used a dolly to pull a lowered s13. we mangled the front lip getting that PoS on the dolly, but it was already messed up or I might have cared enough to take it off.
Best bet is what I did: borrow a friend and his truck. Rent u-haul dolly. $30 and you're done.
