For those KA24DE that still get a leak after replaceing the front main seal this might be a fix for you.

I found a TIMKEN kwik repair sleeve for our KA24DE crank pullley, thought I'd share it with you guys, I have found 4 KA24DE crank pulleys to replace my crank pulley that has a wear groove inbeeded into the crank pulley only to find that the other used pulley have the same exact wear groove and still leak even with a new crank shaft seal, figure since all this pulleys are high milage and over a decade and a half old that i'd try this rather than spending $230 for a new one from NISSAN or buying a cheaper aftermarket one.

Heres the part number:

TIMKEN Part # KWK99181
Kwik Sleeve, Optional Repair; Front

The cheapest I found it was from this site:
$17.32

Back from the dead!

How do you know when you need one of these? Is there a way to measure it?

For me i had a wear groove on the crank pulley and even with a new front main seal it still leaked so I needed one or a new pulley but those are very expensive so I bought the repair kit above and it works perfect.

*****SPECIAL ADVICE*****VERY INPORTANT THAT YOU DO THIS********OR YOU WILL KILL YOUR OIL PUMP********
With a dremel and a cutoff wheel remove any over hang left on the repair sleeve, this would be the portion of the repair sleeve that hangs in free air past the orignial machined surface of the crank pulley.

so does the flange looking part face the pulley and the straight part face the oil pump? and the excess facing oil pump is what you need to cut off?
