I am on the Blue Cross TOnik plan. I get 2 free dentist visits a year.
I have not used anything so I can't say how well the plan is. I pay like 160ish every 2 months or so.

Tri-West baby! They pay for everything but braces and Zyrtec, the only things I need.

hmo is perfect for most healthy young guys. (cheaper)

ppo is more for those that need to be seen by specialists.(more expensive)

kaiser will be ok for you so long as you don't go often. otherwise it will drive you wild waiting for everything!

Actually HMO's are more expensive than PPO's. I sell health insurance. A lot of changes have been made to health care due to health care reform. I can help you choose the best plan. Our services are free of charge and we do everything online. If you have any questions pm me.

i'm on blueshield ppo...goddamn lifesaver since i've got a kid with a medical condition. i don't have to wait for the insurance to approve a specialist visit-i just go if they're in the network. most everything is covered %90 i get billed the remainder.

because most hmo's cover shit, while ppo's require an out of pocket maximum with a fat ass asterisk hidden somewhere. I owe a doctor 150 bucks now that I think about it, forgot to pay him, already paid the 300 dollar bill for the er room. ugh.

I always liked Kaiser when i was under my mom back in highschool. I broke a few bones here and there and they took care of everything with no Co-pay. Other than paying a Co-pay of $50 for the brace i needed for my leg during recovery.

Im on blue-cross HMO with my wife and kid....Cant really complain. but the co-pay is kinda high. We had to pay $1500 for my wife's C-sestion. As when for Kaiser, my mom had 2 C-section and didnt pay no more than $500.. but thats because they wanted a private room and such.

IDK if it changed through the span of 15 yrs.. but yeah. If i can afford kaiser, let alone my wife's work offer them, i think id go kaiser.
