i was wondering if anyone know that if this oil filter model L14477 from purolator works on s13 sr20det blacktop? i found this filter from using the fram part number in the interchangeable section. my first oil change i was stuck using the fram PH4386. which also had a hell of a time getting in and out of the engine. the area where the filter goes is so cram. i had to get it out from the top of the engine and drop it thru there too. i got two filters from nissan which either looked too small or too big. the guy at nissan couldnt find me any of the parts with the part numbers i found on here. well my question is if any has used purolator filters on their sr20det.

btw the purolator are on sale on amazon for 7.99 for a 2pack with free shipping. heard very good reviews about this filter

I have used perfomax filters which are basicly pennzoil filters.
I have used a OEM honda civic filter (lol yea i know), pz-109, I always use pz-38
Since its the filter for a 92 sentra se-r that has a sr20de.

Use the oem nissan sentra one, yes it looks small but that is the correct filter.

Greddy oil filters are great. They have a magnet inside that pull shavings out of the oil. Not that bad of a price either. I believe you can get them at Autobacs in Stanton.

i had a purolator on my SR the last oil change. it's was a bitch to take off. i prefer the factory nissan ones which i'm using right now. just order them from westcojustin at the nismoshop.com. they're oem and only like 5 bucks or so.

yea they are. i looked at the design of it before. it looks like the magnet in the filter would help since i dont have a magnetic drain plug. but they are freaking expsenive for the filters. any pricing on them?

oem or mobil1 filters :):):)

Use the KA oil filter it's bigger than the fwd sr20 ones and the o-ring seal is the same size. penzoil p/n is pz27 can you can easily find a cross reference for it. hint easiset way to take out you oil filter on a sr20det id to unplug the oil pressure switch makes it a little easier

i know this is an old thread but purolator pureone is a really good filter and cheap 5.49 at my local pepboys, it has the best bypass design imo which is kinda important when cold starting your motor and yeah you can use KA/z32 filter if ya run a remote oil relocation kit not to sure if it would fit without one.... it really does beat $$$ on a k&n or mobil 1 filter and btw those 2 filters are 100% identical in the inside and are made by the same company for all you k&n lovers could be saving yourselves a dollar or 2.... just my 2 cents
