... WTFFFF i put a MBC on my car today.. because i thouht my ebc crapped out on me... well it did NOTHING... still running 11 psi.. which im pretty sure the wg is rated at... so i think im going to just unplug wg from a source and keep an eye on it
spools fine... no smoke... no noises.....no exhuast leak...
and NO the MBC is NOT on BACKWARDS

Do I dare to ask what brand of MBC you used?

is your WG aftermarket? also is it adjustable? Take off the MBC and see what you are boosting at. Are youo trying to boost higher or lower your boost?

Leaky Diaphram in the waste gate actuator?

Switch the vaccuum lines around on the boost controller. And don't worry, if that works, you're not the only one who has done that. :duh:

im trying to raise the boost to 18 psi...
i hooked up the "turbonetics" mbc all sorts of diff ways... so its not that.
and i have the HKS wg actuator kit...
i think im going to unhook the wg from a vaccum source completely.. and just keep an eye on the boost guage today to help diagnose some stuff

lol ..... don't do that
run a vacuum line to your wastegate from the bottom nipple that's on the throttle body. that nipple is only boost. when the throttle body's closed the nipple is closed, when the throttle body is open, you're giving it gas, and you're giving it gas so you can get boost. wastegate actuator diaphrams do not like vacuum, and they operate off of boost. therefore run the hose to the wastegate actuator.
then cut the hose in half, and connect the two ends to your mbc. if it doesn't change at all, then "turn up the boost" on the mbc. if it doesn't change, connect the hoses to the mbc the other way. if it doesn't change change the boost setting on the mbc. if it doesn't change, ur mbc sux =D
lol, at this point, you can run a small vacuum T to connect your hose back together, and the nipple on the T that doesn't have anything going to it is your boost controller.
all a boost controller is, is a controlled vacuum leak. changing the sizes of your T (vacuum leak) changes how much boost your actuator gets whether what's running into your motor is 11psi or 400023049230849234 psi, once the actuator gets 11psi, it opens ur wastegate flap.
good luck :D
