alright, i've come to understand that the cusco 7pt cage does NOT pass scca/nhra rules due to the curve in the front correct?.. reason i am asking is right now i have a car that has a cusco 7pt... and i will be needing to pass nhra rules(low 11 sec quarter) so, instead of going and buying an autopower or w/e... or even getting a custom one made(i cannot afford nor have a place within 400 miles) could i have x-bars like these made for it to pass more inspection... or will it be a total waste and wouldnt make a differece?

here is what i'm talking about adding

any help would be great, or if you have another way to suggest doing it

front bars has too many bends
it wont pass

u could
remake the front bars and keep the rear 4 point part
autopower bolts in the exact same places on a 4pt as the cusco/s21 does.

Cusco sells a through dash.

It won't pass tech for more reasons than that though.

the tubing is too thin.
the techs eat their shit over the clevises.
5 bends in the main hoop makes the tubing way thinner than what they want
no diagonal
no harness bar.
oh, also the chromoly isn't legal and is even thinner than the steel which they'd womp about.

Local drift won't care, but SCCA has the rule that a 4pt doesn't need to pass tech, but if you have a full cage it has to pass tech for just about anything.

The rear cross bar is intended for RHD car....

okay not to steal the tread...but i live in illinois. and scca..im assuming thats what you are talking about?...if the 7 point isnt even tech worthy, then what roll cage, or anything can you buy that is legit. (it doesnt have to be fancy)
(oh can you pm me please for that info)

autopower.

msg length.

The rear diagonal u can move (if you have the bolted one) and u can weld in a harness bar.

*cusco does sell bolt in door bars for their cages too. Or you can just weld some in like in ur diagram for drift events. I know jay (cleans14) did so w/ his s13 s21 cage.

scca isn't nhra. nhra allow chromoly. you guys you pay attention to that fact. the best thing is to e-mail or get in contact with your local scca/nhra tech inspector. rather then asking us. because they are the ones who will say pass or fail.

so what do you mean by the rear diagonal...like i could weld one myself..but i dotn know if it would pass spec...obviously drift events arent common...well non exsistant out here...but to the west, and up north..there are a lot. so i just need to find one and well that bitch in and KNOW that i will pass inspection.

Autopower is terrible, I wouldn't put an autopower in my car if I got it for free.
you can buy clevises to put whatever bars you want in a cusco, if the tech inspector knows what hes looking for it still won't pass SCCA rulebook.
Local Drift events will allow cuscos with doorbars for tandem
Autocrossing will probably bitch about it
Roadcourses will probably not let you run.
USA is so gay dick for safety its not even funny. So lame.

If you have an S14 get a Kirk Racing Bar, thats the only Legal Bolt in I would pay money for.

Does anyone know where I can find specs for scca/nasa roll cages? I have searched the site and I guess the search function is down but I cant find anything at all.

im sure its better than nothing though, right? No, thin wall bad designed cages/roll bars could be fatal in a very light crash or roll over.
