Nismo vs no thermostat

What are the pros and cons of having a nismo thermosat vs no thermostat thanks

Use a thermostat! If you don't it will take a looooooong time for the car to get up to temp (which is not good for the motor) and the fully warm operating temp will be lower (also not good for the motor or fuel mileage). If you really wanna run without a thermostat and do it right you need to install a flow restrictor in it's place (basically a thermostat that you cut the actual thermostat out of).

my car is starting to overheat. I was just wondering on getting a new thermostat since mine looks like its not working . Just thinking if its really worth it to buy one or not to use one at all

If you're too broke to buy a nismo one, just get one from kragen/autozone or something, cant be more than 20 bucks.

its best to fix whatever is causing your car to overheat. running without a thermostat is a shitty bandage at best.

my thermo is cut out
so there is some restirction
not good for daily/freeway though
on freeway is like 60c
at the track after many laps.....around 80c
but i also have ducting, vented hood, big oil cooler, radiator, etc etc etc...
but yah i love it
but for track YES
for street NO.

yeah i ran no thermostat for awhile. DONT DO IT. ECU runs in warm up mode and dumps excessive fuel to warm up the engine faster but ruins your gas mileage. I also noticed while sitting in traffic the car would get kinda hot, and just keep rising.sucked big time

Just get a new OEM unit for $20. NISMO is unnecessary for daily driving.

you can also get cooler thermostats from pretty much any parts store.

don't get one from kragen/autozone. they are generally junk. get one from the dealer, they aren't that expensive. don't bother on the nismo.

Always run a thermostat. Keeps engine close to the proper temperature.

Pros: Controls your engine temp

Cons: Running in warm up mode forever.

Just fix your cooling problem. If your debating on if buying a new t-stat is worth it for your 400hp engine, its better than not addressing your cooling issue and breaking major shit or not being able to utilize that 400hp cuz your car is running like shit.

I think nismo thermo's are like 55 bucks or something, I'd just get that unless it's going to be strictly a track car.
