so, a while back, i wasnt getting spark to my engine. i then checked the grounds, and determined a grounding issue was causing my problem, as the secondary block ground was not connected to the back of the head. this solved the problem and my car started right up. after driving the car, and shutting the engine off, it would not start back up, and i further diagnosed it to not having spark. i had power to both the coil and the transistor, but no signal out of the coil. this led me to believe that my coil and or transistor were faulty. upon replacing both, i still have no spark, still having power to the coil and transistor, but not after the coil. my question is, what else could it be..?
another question that i have, and i may be just overthinking it, but is the coil base not supposed to be grounded out? as idont have the original basethat the coil was mounted on, is it supposed to be grounded?
oh, this is on a KA24DE. in an s13

it has a dizzy.. so replace the cap and rotar button and see what that does.. start with trial and error with the cheapest parts that make sense to replace...

first thing the KA's have Distuributers and not coil packs its been a while sense i've looked at a KA so i believe thats the case if my memory is right. but i'd try replacing the distuributer and i'd also see with a ohm meter if there is a resistive connection in your grounds then try to replace those. after that not to sure start checkin the power wires and see if they've become resistive good luck

i didnt say coil packs, i said coil, meaning ignition coil. and if you've ever seen a s13 ka24de, it does too have an ignition coil. and i dont have spark out of the coil, power isnt getting to the distributor, so its not that.
