does any one seen this kind of sub woofer box before? how's the feedback on this? it looks good and very small that can be save much space in the trunk thanks.

neat looking bass tube. cant say how good it would sound though, looks a lil flimsy, like the plastic is too thin...but maybe not... guinea pig that ish. if it sucks, break it and send it back it has a 1 year warranty...

If you're really concerned with sound quality then build you own sealed box. Each sub has a reccomended amount of airspace and to get it just right you NEED to build it yourself. Building your own sealed box that you have blueprinted will noticeably improve clarity, overall power, and response.

all you need to know is that a type R will not hold 1000 watts and by putting that much to the sub it will blow and slowly sound like shit

Box looks flimsey, not a good port design, will not flow well. Sub sucks and can get the same shit at walmart. Build a box yourself, will cost less and there are plans available all over the web. Spend the money on a decent sub.

....since everybody else is throwing in their two cents, i prefer Diamond subs

pioneer makes a new slim sub thats half the depth of a normal sub.

so if your looking for "weight savings" in a speaker that has good quality sound.

the sub sits in a sealed enclosure less than a cubic foot.

MTX all the way! Also I had some good experiences with the pioneer IMPP subs in the late 90's. Great sound quality and power for the money.

Some tips when making your own sub box out of MDF board:
-Make sure you include the thickness of the MDF board when you're calculating the dimensions.
-Measure twice, cut once.
-Make sure you pilot and countersink every hole so you don't split the MDF board.
-2" coarse thread drywall screws for single baffle and 2.5" coarse thread drywall screws for double baffle. The screws grab really nice.
-Use wood glue LIBERALLY since it will also act as a seal.
-Caulk LIBERALLY.
