that should tell you something right there. no problems w/the greddy manifold that i've ever heard of, so got for it. DOOO ITTT! or go custom. (again with the posting of going to the sheetmetal shop! oy!)

imo theres no BEST intake manifold. just go with the greddy or go spend 1G on a top secret one.

yeah stick with greddy, there arent many choices because the greddy one is really the best option, no real need for other companies to reinvent the wheel

the best intake manifold i do believe is a wilson intake mani.
they're one off and they guarantee the power that it will make.
they request all specs of head form you including flow charts
but they're like 10-15 thousand

i have a top secret and it makes good power, it also shifted the stock power curve up about 500-1000 rpm which is great for racing/drifting.

escort racing one for the S13 is pretty nice. but at 1100 bucks, i'd still go with the greddy.

agree... been eyeing it on phase2 site for the last 5+ years.. velocity stacks inside + pulsar tb can be bolted right on..
i just noticed now that it's been taken off phase2's site.. i wonder if they make it anymore or maybe can contact escort racing.. always wondered since its custom and required a core charge if they could make one for ka also.
whats wrong with stock? unless your pushing large numbers intake manifolds are really that great for bang for buck...
JUN Intake manifold for the win :D

Stock does not allow for the motor to breathe up top, thus torque and power falls off.
If you have an upgraded turbo, then you'll probably be better off with an aftermarket intake manifold as it allows your engine to take advantage of the high RPM power.
^That's the jist of the theory, which has been backed up by dyno graphs over and over.

my sr has a stock manifold on it right now, not bad on the low end..but up near the top end..where the engine loves to shine, you can tell its being held back.
drove an sr with the same mods as my car, but with the greddy intake...really made a difference on the top end...the engine LOVED it, and the power didnt fall off as much. you lose a little in the low end..but not much to bitch about.

i think they still make it. maybe p2m just dropped it because no one ever bought the thing. it does require a bit of work to make it fit (moving the fuse box, etc) so not alot of ppl get it.
built performance still has it listed on their website, but they've been trying to get everything in order for awhile...so it could just be up there because they forgot to take it off.:fart:

Why would you need to remove the fuse box?
Does the cold pipe hit it or something?

yep and the coolant reservior too b/c of where the throttle body is angled. i dont mind though, i'm converting my car is to be track only so i'll reposition the box and only have necessary wires go in the engine bay.
