Hey guys,

I have the availability to use, a single axis flow water jet machine. I was just wondering, if their was any parts you want to see made or made better. Thanks for your input.

Danny

just to give you a idea if you don't know what a water jet is

Sent you a PM

But yeah, I think you should probably give people an idea of

- what is required (i.e CAD file, etc)
- how much it typically runs (since I'm guessing its not cheap)
- is there minimum quantity required
- what materials can you cut, get, and how does that affect price

Cause I think price is going to dictate whether or not people can REALLY do these sorta things

thanks logan

But im not really going for the one off type of deal, If i make somthing i would like to make and sell alot.

And as for file you can use cad or photoshop but i will be doing this so it will not matter, unless you want somthing one off but yes it will cost you.

and as some of you smart ones know this is not cheap to run at all

as far as materials go the water jet can cut just about anything
but guys i want to keep this to car parts please.

hope this helps

I think the GT wing stands would sell on all competitive car forums, not just ours.

Start making the EVO/STI conversion brackets, definately alotta interest there. You count me down for one if you do decide to make em. and you can probably push them at 100-150$ a pop generating a good amount of profit too.

heres the link.

needs to be at least made out of steel though.

^that'd probably wont sell as much..

more like Z32 brake adapters for Z33 rotors.
if you knock them out for under $50, i'm sure you'll sell alot, and it'd probably be cheap to produce as well.

i'm not familiar with steel strengths, so i'll leave that up to you :)

the EVO/STi brackets wont' sell as well as you'd think because the price difference between those brembos and the Z32 fronts don't warrant getting them for the performance gained. The adapters to space Z32 calipers out for larger Z33 rotors may be a different story though, however the Z33 calipers are expensive and hard to find sometimes.

RB20/RB25 T3 turbo exhaust flanges.

their a stupid 6 bolt pattern instead of the usual 5 or 4. NO one makes a flange for them, you can get a whole downpipe with a flange, but it only fits skylines. this would be great for people who want to use the skyline ball bearing T3 turbo on KA-T setups and what not.

make an oil filter block off plate. Similar to this tomei piece. I would definitely buy one. you could do it much cheaper than they sell them for too

that's a little more intricate than I think he's thinking of doing...

but a flat slab of aluminum would work just as well as that piece. it doesn't have to have the lower sides where the screws go in. just cut out that shape, and drill a few holes in it, and thread two of them. and only do one hole for a sensor, lose the one on the side

ya that looks to be made with a cnc mill, just a little over my head just of yet. but i think i can make it a little more simple and not as bling.

thanks guys for the ideas so far

you could start cranking out a kirkey style seat(just ship it flat and let the end user get it bent and welded)...i have a template if you want it...it seems like it would be profitable and you could make non-adjusting seat brackets as well

how much would you charge for a o2 housing spacer?

like the mckinney one for rb25 swaps?

http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com/images/products/thumbs/130.jpg

this spacer adds clarance to o2 housing steering shaft area. Can be used with our kit to add more clearance or with other kits or crossmember to get clearance

a nice looking vented coilpack cover for rb25 also

I think there would be a large interest in CTS-V brake adapters. I remember someone did it a while back and the bracket was not complicated at all. It came out total around $400 for the fronts.
