I have an 93' with 120k on it. I recently bought a new head and P+P it. I was just going to swap heads and put on a new timing chain but now I am thinking i will just go ahead and rebuild everything. First i need to find some where to get a proper rebuild kit. Any suggestions on where to find a decent one? Also does any one make higher compression pistions? Also i heard that it is a bad idea to rebuild the ka motor. Is that becuase the cyclinder walls are to thin to be bored?

I've never heard it's bad to rebuild the KA. I've read on here numerous times where people suggest a rebuild before they turbo the KA.(depending on miles of course) I've heard that you should not bore the KA because it is about as bored out as it is going to get. If you just rebuild it and don't bore it then you should be fine.
Somebody Back me up on this or tell me I'm wrong, cause I'm not positive.

Why is it only 369 bucks for a platinum ka24e rebuild kit? thats even with a timing chain kit and oil pump...Thats pretty cheap

Im not complaining about the costs. This looks like a great thing to go along with some turbo pistons and rods included in your rebuild. I will probably need a rebuild before turbo since by the time i have the money for everything the KA i have is gonna have too many miles on it.
