Hey guys I just got stationed over at Eglin FL, but my car is still over in SoCal. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with any companys that ship cars and if they have, what company did you use and how was your experience with that company? Hope you guys can help me out, really looking to get my s13 over here.

Thanks

I shipped my car with Angel's Moving Autos in a regular open truck bed from the LAX area in LA to Orlando, FL for $900 or $1k, I forget exactly. They do door to door shipping and did a fairly good job. Picked it up with a 2 day notice only and delivered it to the destination in about exactly one week. They have good communication with their customers and have a representative call every few days to update you or ask about your experience. I checked online reviews and they are one of the top ranked auto shipping companies for private consumers.

I also shipped my roommates E36 BMW from LA to NJ and everything went well. Several BMW guys have used this carrier as well and were satisfied with their experience.

If you have extra money to dish out, I'd recommend a closed container because they can cater to lowered cars. Well I guess it also just depends on the height of your car. My s13 was lowered with tein springs and on the open bed option, they actually dented my fairly new HKS FMIC and my Apex-i muffler. But this is kinda expected if you decide to go cheap. Haha, it wasn't anything to bad though, just very little indentations on the bottom. Also, if you decide to go with the open bed shipping option, I'd recommend taking off your front bumper if you are lowered.

Thanks for the quick reply. Were you able to give them a certain time that you wanted it delivered or anything? I'm military and I'm staying in the dorm so it would be a little hard for me to find time to sign off for it. Were they flexible with your schedule?

I looked into shipping a car from socal to buffalo. Oddyessy transport gave me the best quote and were super helpful with any questions I had. Their a door to door service and have been around a long time. My qoute from them was $1100 from socal to buffalo, so it should be significantly less to florida.

Check them out. http://odysseytransportation.com/

No, not really flexible. They will give you a 24 hour notice before the car will arrive. Thats about it for me at least. Call them up and see if you can work something out though. If you have family or friends near by, it might be better to have them sign off on it for you. The key is to have it throughly inspected and take plenty of pictures before loading it and after. Especially if someone else is signing off for you, make sure that the car is in the original condition that it was when loaded before signing anything.
