Solid Clear Coupe tails

I remember seeing way back someone had an S13 coupe with solid clear tails, not half and halfs.. Always thought it was be sweet to mod them with Red LEDS and ambers for the brake/signals. Lookin at buyin a 240 coupe this week and would like to know if I can still get ahold of a set someplace somewhere..

No. They will be a custom job. And good luck converting them to LED's yourself unless you have a decent knowledge of how to make them work well.

If you do embark, let me know. I'll share my knowledge with you. LED's are a passion of mine.

Well I read a long time ago about clearing lenses, I remember it involved a high heat source like a blowtorch, kind of scared me. No such luck finding now.. tried searching around but nada. I have a few friends that are LED/circuitry geniuses. If I do attempt this any input would be great appreciated though, so I'd be sure to let you know phantom

LOL probably, Although I always had a different view of them.. Wanted to stay OEM bulb colors but have clear lenses for a nice clean look, the coupe I'm looking at is white btw.

i dont ever remember seeing all clear tails being sold for a s chassis back in the day. they did make a shit ton for integras and civics if thats what you're thinking about. unless someone made them custom.

They must've been custom then, because I distinctly remember wanting a 240 when i was 14/15 and I remember seeing them a few times they were kind of smoked but all clear, no red and no amber.

I guess if all else fails i'll get some half and halfs and convert them to LED

Mike used to make them like 10 years ago, when they were a fad.

ActiveK makes the OE style full clear lights as well as red/clear, and then you've got the above 'crystal' clear lights as well from numerous suppliers, same as the red/clear crystal style from Origin, etc. Most all of it sourced from Japan.

Don't forget red reflectors elsewhere on the car otherwise you'll be an easy cop magnet, might as well pay your tickets ahead of time.
