So last week on the 23rd I traded the my old (and beat - had a ton of issues: No Heat, No Power Steering, No Right Turn Signal, No Radio, Broke Windshield, Sideswiped Body Damange, 275k miles, I think you get the idea.....) 95 240 Base for a really low mileage, clean 94 Honda Accord. I sold the Honda Accord last friday night for $3,000. If you do that math thats $700 more than I paid for the 95 240 that I traded straight up for
Now we move on to saturday. I look on my local forum to find some kid has posted up an add from his local paper (about an hour from me) What do I find but a 2-owner 97 240sx SE. I call and its an older gentlemen....I decided to make an impromptu trip right then and there.
I showed up, the car looked great, albeit needing cleaning. The couple were very friendly and easy to deal with. We talked for a little while, and i decided to buy the car. The elderly lady even gave us 20 dollars to get some dinner for the drive home! :D
Now onto the details
1997 240SX Se
121k Miles
Auto
2-owner, super clean
I bought this car for $3900!!!

I am so much more happy spending a little extra to pick up this car considering I dont have to throw a rear end in it, do the 5-lug, and every last mechanical/electrical piece is fully functional! Its so comfortable to drive and looks a whole lot better than the 95-96 body style IMO

Haha, Petoria...
Anyway, fantastic find. I'm happy for you, and despite the fact that I like my zenki over any kouki, I'm still a little jealous. ;)

Thanks for the compliments guys........but she's not getting a 5spd swap.....its getting a 6 spd swap.....you can figure out the rest....:)
I believe this weekend I'll throw on the 300ZX brakes + Master cylinder, as well as the R200 rear end. The original window sticker was included in the glove box and i did not see ABS as an option on the list, so I believe that means it does not have LSD.
Luckily I parted a 93 non-turbo 300ZX a few months ago and kept all the stuff that would transfer on to a 240 :)

Do you mean that it wasnt beat on?
I know the full history of the car. It was purchased new at the Nissan dealership by the owner of the dealership, for his daughter. She drove it 3 years and put 25k miles on it. The dealer owner then bought his daughter a new car for college and this 240 sat in the elderly couples garage I purchased it from, for 3 years.
They finally decided to buy it several years ago and the old man drove it back and fourth to work every day.

Good price, is the chassis covered in rust though? That snow makes me worry. I'm so glad I didn't live around road salt 60% of the year.
