Hey,

I just want to see that what kind if RUCA you guys use on our car?....

I want to get a good quality ones since I know that good pair will last for so long......I know that my car doesn't do much of drifting for sure....but as I said, good ones will last long .......

Cusco, KAZAMA is one of the best, but as far as the price goes, I think it's a little too much for me to afford.....Brand new costs $350 a pair.....

I've heard about good reputation from SPL and MAX.....There's like tons of good reviews about thier product expecically all the arms like toe, tie rod, RUCA, stuffs like that....

What do you think?.....Has anyone out there been compared the differences of Cusco/KAZAMA Vs. SPL/ MAX?

I need your feedback please

SEARCH, this has been covered many times.

IMO SPL is the best out there.

I run Battle Version.

Don't know if you've heard of it.

It's good quality and works fine.

Didn't Russ have problems with his Cuscos rusting on his first S14?

I'd say Battle Version or Peak Performance. Peak Performance comes with Aurora rod ends, which is considered 1 of the best rod ends in the entire industry for use with suspension arms.

SPL Parts' arms aren't bad either, as they come with QA1 rod ends, which are also badass like the Aurora ends.

Yes. One side froze up completely. Even removed off the car, heated with a torch, and pulled on with a 10ft lead pipe I couldn't break it loose. I sold them to someone who didn't mind removing one side to adjust camber since I was constantly resetting my alignment for different events and needed something that worked on the car. I think it was just a fluke of bad luck though. My new stuff went on with a lot of lithium grease in all the joints and threads to prevent it happening again.
I also bought my Cusco arms when there was little other stuff available, so I didn't have the choice to go lower end. For the money now I wouldn't shy away from Battle Version parts.

I would go with Battle Version or SPL. I chose SPL because they are a little less expensive.

SPL, but if you own an S14 they don't make a RUCA they sell the Cusco one instead

S13 SPL makes this

The main concern with any adjustable arms is the bearings. Anyone can weld some metal together good enough to not break, but most companies do not use high quality bearings. I was talking to Alex from battle version about a separate matter and the conversation turned to bearings. From the feedback that I got from him I would use battle version arms. He really seems to be anal about the bearings on his arms. Right now I am running e-gay arms with upgraded bearings and they work fine. I got my RUCA bearings from baker precision for about $36 each and they are teflon-lined with chromoly bodies and self lubricating. They are the jmxt series to be exact. For about $170 total I'm pretty happy. But the metric threaded ends for my toe and trac arms are much more expensive ($70 each) and much harder to find. If you don't wanna hassle with sourcing bearings then I would highly reccomend battle version! Alex's honesty and dedication to providing a quality product really impressed me.

I agree. He uses quality rod ends and is a good guy to deal with. I have projectnissan Ruca's on my other S13 and they have held up fine for about 2 years (non-winter driving). If I had to buy any toe arms or ruca's again, it would definitely be bings or SPL.

All right...Thanks for your opinions+personal experiences and comments....

Now, I think I got the way to go....SPL...Or DMAX.....

As the matter of fact, DMAX is a little cheaper than SPL....and I haven't seen them all in actual units.....so I am kinda debating....since I have read reviews about Dmax stuffs and tons of people wrote them so well reviews about the products....

I know thatt Cusco is a little expensive in most case....and the whole set costs around 1000 I think......

If anyone have Dmax on your car or have/had been using Dmax vs SPL, you are so welcome to post your comment here....

Thanks again

in the last few weeks i have installed a set of Kazama,MAX,Ebay Motoria, and a set of very cheap ebay bought.

i will say that the Kazama that i had ordered up for a customer left me a little dissapointed, Major undercutting on welds, very poor fitment on the arm in regards to assembly and fabrication, the bearings were good.

Max same thing bearings look decent, but the weld quality on our arms look down right dangerous lack of penetration on almost the entire weld on one side of both arms. In defense of MAX Dan stands behind that product and offered to send me a new set with out hesitation. i told him not to that i could fix them and made him aware that there could be a potential problem there.

motoria they are down right cheezy and feel like toys, but in less then 7 days my customer smacked a curb at over 20mph directly on the rear wheel. it broke his strut in half, the strut sheared his axle, impact bent the toe rod like a taco tore up his subframe some, and the only thing the arm did was straighten out. its a s14 arm and went from being a radius to straight. the bearings on them are low quality and i would think might start seizing up after a while of being exsposed to the elements.

The cheap ebay stuff, we will see, i give them only a few months before they seize and start binding up.

I also have a few of Battle version traction rods here, if the RUCA' are anything like these they will be well worth the extra coin compared to cheap versions.

Knowing you arent gonna be beating on your car.... i would go with something cheap and reliable...

like the project nissan ones.
although i personally dont know of the reliability of any of the rucas listed because im still running stock multi link

no need to go high end and spend all the extra cash for something youre not going to use.

its like buying coilovers and leaving them at stock height and not adjusting the dampening.
