I was driving up a hill when my car just died and i had to pull over. I tried to start the car and it cranked and cranked but didnt fire up. any ideas?
also about a week b4 i hit a pot hole filled with water and it made my car sputter and not get past 5mph. and it eventually went away but occasionally came back until my car died while i was driving.
any ideas would be appreciated!

well, this happened to me a month ago. The car just stop running as if I ran out of gas. Come to find out, it was the little hose that goes from the FP to the line...it was damaged. I replaced it and car started right up. Start by checking your FP and components. Good luck!

wasnt really a crash. i dipped down into a pothole that was filled with water. water went everywhere and my car started sputtering. then after about 30min it went back to normal with it sputtering every now and then.

Sounds to me like a fuel problem. You were on a hill, the gas probably went all to one end of the tank. Were you low on gas? Maybe lack of gas for the FP to suck up caused it to become damaged after that.
The other problem sounds like maybe you damaged your MAF when you hit the pothole. Check the little sensor see if its damaged or find another one that you know works and swap it out and see what happens.
