I was just wondering what sorts of methods everyone uses to shift during everyday driving.
As in what rpm range, how much you feather the clutch (if at all), at what point do you add gas, etc.?
I'm asking because I've been having slight troubles with bucking going into second gear, and I just wanted to know some people's method of shifting persay.
Thanks.

I think I shift out of first at around 15 mph, or somewhere around 3,000 rpms. And for every other gear I shift at 3000 to. You'll get use to your clutch, known of us can teach you how to do it correctly, its just a fell you gotta get, but when it bucks the car needs more car, so give it barely, and I mean barley, a little gas before engaging the clutch. It won't take long to get it. Peace.

you should be able to get going smoothly at only about 1500 rpms. i can get my SR20 going with my ACT clutch at that rpm. sometimes lower if i want to.
as for shifting, you should remember to operate the clutch like you did to get started. you can't just pop it into each gear. you don't have to slip it like you do when you start off, but you need to ease it into actuation. now, if you're racing, that's a different story...take it up to redline, release the gas, slam the clutch down, bang the next gear, and release the clutch while you floor the throttle.
got it?
