I've searched everywhere to see if anybody has done a full hand polish of S14 SE wheels but I can't find anything. I can only come up with a bunch of people painting them. Has anybody done this and possibly has pictures. I'm considering taking a week or two to polish mine up.

Well, no luck in the pic request thread so far. Has anybody at least seen this done? If so, how did it look to you?

Polished anything never works IMO unless it's just the lip. Full polished looks to much like chrome, and the SE wheels are too wide and broad for that, looks like a huge mirror. Gunmetal or bronze looks a ton better if you're deciding on changing their look.

hmmm doesn't look too bad. I suppose if you did it and didn't like it then you just finish it up by priming and painting them...

Yup just stripped.
the old paint was dull. so i got bored and painted them gold.
dont ask me why.
so i decided to strip them. Found out they have a nice alloy underneath.

Hmm...and thats where it gets iffy for me. Whats the chance that my equips will be shiny under the black paint...

you know polishing is like a 100$ per wheel service right?

just have someone else do it, its worth it.

IMO s14 se wheels have ass offset and are generally pretty boring. Why bother? There are so many other options...z32 tt, gtr, etc. I'm not busting your chops just stating the obvious that it is a lot of work to go through for meh wheels.

why the fuck would you want to waste money on stock wheels?

bad idea!

Cheapest way is to have them media blasted. I used to do it all the time when I was at a machine shop. Just use some coarse grit glass beads to strip the paint and then switch to ultra fine glass and it will come out insane. If you want to go all out, use baking soda for a third blasting session and they will shine like no other. Just make sure you clearcoat them after blasting.
