I high centered my car on a sidewalk once. We were lucky enough to find tow ropes on the ground down the street, so we pulled it off with my friends sti.

This is my rear strut tower afterwards. It seperated from the body a little.

That s13's fresh ^, Like how you pulled it off w/ the 350z rims...Here's mine, Me and a bunch of friends were headed to english town, it was a surprise drift after this lady cut through 3 lanes and cut me off and then slammed the brakes, and i cut the wheel to the left to prevent rear ending her, and almost hit the guardrail so i countersteered and back end gave out (blown struts) and threw me head first into the guardrail at 65-70mph...

And there i am sitting on the curb, and yes i was crying.

To top it all off, after the crash, a cop came...gave ME a ticket for driving with a junior license and since i didnt want insurance to get involved i told him i dont have an insurance card on me he gave me a ticket for that as well. Lucky me eh? However, i buffed her real hard and she turned into this shell magically...

this is a pic of my 1st crash,
me and a couple of buddies went out to this warehouse spot that we had to have some fun, to make the long story short, it was the last drift that i was doing and decided to drift on the way out. I hit a dirt spot on the ground and got crazy understeer, i hit a porter potty on my driver side.

Haha I forgot to tell my story, well there was this perfect drift turn that I had drifted around several times mainly because there was an open field on the outside so I figured if I screwed up I would just end up in the field. So as I drifted around the turn my rear tires hit a wet spot on the road and it spun me around and I slid backwards into a 7ft ditch and hit a tree at 35+

basically i'm a fuckin idiot, but this happened a year ago, i had just put my VLSD in and i was on my way home from school and i was making a left threw and intersection (no cars around me) and i decided to try and "drift" for the first time with an LSD and everyone one who has made the transition would know that its a pretty big one, car is much more predictable when its open diff, anyway i went wide and pulled the e brake and dumped it in 2nd and exiting the corner the cross walk was freshly painted and when i hit the cross walk i gased it like a dumbass thinking i was gonna sweep my way out of it but that didn't quite work out i ended up spining out locking the brakes and going up onto the median, basically my bumper hit first and pushed back bending my fender because i don't have fender supports, anyway i started the car backed off the curb drove back to the intersection to turn around dumped it again and spun around and took off, when i stopped at Harris Teeter i checked under the car and the only thing that happened was the fender and one of my core support arms(or whatever it is the tension rod connects to) was bent a little bit but other then that the car was fine didn't even fuck up my alignment, so yeah, lesson learned:bash:

Regardless, my S14 with its VLSD is MUCH more predictable than my s13s were with their open diffs. Instead of getting sideways SOMETIMES, its gets sideways on command. No more one wheel wondering.

Snow day...went back to my old high school parking lot and practiced "controlling" my car. Well needless to say got use to gettin sideway and i was heading straight for a curb and the car 180s. right rear end goes up on the curb and the front right tire stopped the rest of the car from going up onto the curb

i dunno about a welded diff i've never used one but i wasn't refering to which one was better its obvious LSD or a welded diff is usually prefered over open diff i was just saying that it is more predictable because u are used to the way in handles open diff and u know what its going to do and when u get an LSD u have to get used to it again

My first drift lesson went a bit sour. Hit the curb at full lock in the middle of second gear. Managed to put all four wheels on the curb but everything was still attached (except for about 4 inches of rim lip. Drove off the curb, did a burnout with the sidewall of the tire and onto the trailer.

those are some pretty severe crashes too. I think I read the story about that red coupe. iirc, it actually caught air and landed nose first into something.

I've seen a few 240 wrecks at decent speeds and it wasn't too bad... including my own. Plowed into an acura legend that ran a stop sign. I was going 45 mph, didn't even touch the brakes, just show the Acrua across like 3 lanes and kept going thru. I walked out of the car w/o a scratch (minor sprained wrist, minor whiplash) and 0 cabin intrusion (except one of the air vents that popped out cuz of the airbag, lol)

gotta remember nhsta crash tests are ~45 mph. Above that, cars fall apart less and less gracefully....

Good friend of mines grandfather owns a towing company. He towed this off of Skyline driver where some kids from Hampton, VA decided to drift around the mountains.

Bald Tires on the mountain resulted in this. I bought the car off of the tow company for little to nothing. Car is completely stripped now and all goodies awaiting to go in my 93 hatch.

When I was a kid my dad and I fully restored/built up a 66 Mustang GT. I had bought the basic car with faded paint, well worn seats...but looked nice for a first car. I think my dad got hooked.

I drove the hell out of it...

One day I stopped beyond the white line at an intersection. Some old lady broadsided me while she was turning left. I was at fault.

My dad decided to pull out the receipts of what it cost for the car for me to repay him. They were several inches thick...once he got past $40k he told me I better find a place to stay. I did.

I haven't had a car that nice since, but I have had more fun cars and wrecked some of them too :(.

I haven't been able to take a picture of any...it freaking hurts.

Yea, it was parked in front of the hospital I work at. There was a "community service officer" on scene, which are like cops without guns. I was so pissed at the asshole that hit my car, they called for police backup to have me removed. They said I was being "irrate". Would you not be irrate after finally getting the car that you've wanted, and having some dick plow into it like that?

The speed limit there is 35-40 and he hit it going about 50. He said someone "cut him off". There were 5 cars in front of me. The 2 immediately in front of me were considered total losses as well.

My first drift lesson went a bit sour. Hit the curb at full lock in the middle of second gear. Managed to put all four wheels on the curb but everything was still attached (except for about 4 inches of rim lip. Drove off the curb, did a burnout with the sidewall of the tire and onto the trailer.

drifting at Balcony. 626 event.

Going tandem with ROB. I was about 1 foot off his bumper while driving the straight. randomly decided to give him a car length or 2. started to drift, he flicked it back the other way, so i did too. then he was letting it slide at a really steep angle, so I just turned in and gave it no gas while i decided what he was gonna do.

It looked like he got it to set, so i figured he was about to step back on it and complete the circle section. So i e braked so I could get a matching angle, loose a little speed, and get right up to his rear tire for a great tandem run.

aparently he decided he didn't have it set and hit his brakes instead. So his front grabbed and rotated him at me just as I ebraked to pony up on him. too late at that point, I locked the brakes and the ebrake, but couldnt stop as I was to close.

Dont lock the brakes up in the middle of the line kids, do it off to the side, or deep inside.

no pics, but at the last event i took a sweeper pretty wide and dropped my rear end off into the grass, nailed 3 haybales which crunched my rear 1/4 pretty good on both sides of the wheel, we ran to walmart and bought a pops'a'dent for $20 and fixed it right at the track lol. you can barely tell.

last I checked insurance on 240sx's is pretty cheap...definitely better than any of the american v8 stuff over the same time period.

Also no one really stated where their accidents happened...so let's just assume the worse right? 'Only I drive responsibly', right?

Anyway, a public street is a pretty vague area. Especially on those that go up to the mountains or backroads. I love the track geeks that like to talk all high and mighty and think they are some drift god at the same time because they have the luxury of living by a track or a place that has events. Here where I live there are A LOT of tracks and events, many within 1hour or less. I wish I could be more active, but at the same time there are a lot of assholes around that can tell you every spec/part maker, have tons of high end shit on their cars...yet then sit out on the side lines and criticize the other guys actually driving and sometimes plowing through cones or hitting the tires.

Nothing at a track will replace the same feel one gets going through natural surroundings though and many tracks are more 'technical' than a relaxing drive through the country. It's two different experiences.

Now the people that drag race down a 20-30mph stretch of road at over 100mph blowing through several lights are fucking morons. I am not condoning 'street racing', but defending the type of spirited driving that people have been doing for 50+ years here. Usually on a public road, yes...but usually far away from the public. Same with a mountain road (assuming you aren't looking at deer/wildlife crossings) going through at a 'healthy' clip is fun...screaming through at over 100mph is pretty insane.

I was on the way home from work when a G35 and 300zx got on both sides of me and wanted me to race in rush hour traffic. I had seen them blowing lights from behind and weaving through traffic...just stupid. Well I shook my head/hand to let them know I wasn't interested and they went flying...at the intersection (8 way) there was a family or just a group of 8 or so people crossing, an adult and bunch of little kids. The two assholes passed within inches of each on both sides of them and they had the WALK signal...they freaking blew a cold light and left a family all cowering and panicked. Meanwhile I am just tooling by figuring fuck I am going to be the one the police gets called on.

That is the kind of shit that gives things a bad name and kills people...and driving far beyond your means or with poor equipment (usually crap tires always seem to be one's downfall in the stories here)...most of the people out there are hurting themselves and others not really driving fast, but driving stupid.

I am taking you never break the speed limit either.

Yeah thats it, the car is completely stripped and the bare shell is sitting in a field. No doors, no hatch, interior complete stripped even down to the heater stuff. Wiring all removed. Left the rear diff but can go back and get if I need it.

Had the black top sr20 in it, exedy stg2 clutch. dual stage boost controller, hks turbo timer, walboro 255 pump, boost gauge, a/f guage, bov, haven't checked the ecu yet. It has power doors which I still have, s14 driver seat.

Most of the stuff is going into a 93 hatch that I have.

Once I figure out everything I need, all the other stuff will be up for sale.

I also have a 89 hatch that will be for sell, that is completely stock.
